Agree. He always is like one step ahead and he is very focused on his movements. He usually have this poker face and he is very calm- that's in my opinion shows that he is sure of his actions( there is an exception when it comes to Yuuki's safety, but generally)

I also think that Kaname is the smarter, because his life is a mystery, thanks to his great intelligence who has planned everything and knows almost everything,
that's my ideal man, I might ask around and always have an answer for everything!

The most inteligent character...of course is Kaname. No matter what the situation is he try to find logical solutions - he don't do moves without thinking them before.
He is so smart that when he make his moves he makes others to move how he want, and like this he can win the game.

You forget Hanabusa Aido . After all he is recognized as a genious and prodigy by both human and vampire societies . But he had said in the story that Kaname is more smart than him .
In reality , I expect a person who had lived for 10,000 years to know a lot of things . Kaname is kind of jack of all trades . After all the fanbook called his main abilities as " Almighty " . Fun to know he knows not only how to be a King . But had abilities as mad scientist , chessmaster prodigy and manicurist as well . At least he would not be unemployed for lack of working skills .

Personally i think Kaname is the most intelegent character in VK. One he's older and wiser then the rest, he's had more experiences hence more knowledge. Also he's good at reading people, their emotions, thoughts and movements, thats how he can play the "game" so well and also position his pieces accordingly.
@mariangie: yes you point out another character who has been highlighted in the manga as intelegent. aidou seems to be alot more aware also of things going on around him then others, we saw that in how he got suspect during the shizuka incident at the academy. he was very perseptive and also good at linking things together.

Right. Aidou is another very intelligent character in VK. He was even named a genious in one episode of anime. Unfortunatelly we cannot compare the intelligence of Hanabusa and Aidou because they are not on the same level of mature and intelectual development.

well I forgot poor Aidou...I become cruel...poor #3...well even if he can´t beat Kaname in intelligence we have to admit that he is the number 2...he has to be very intelligent when everyone wants him to work for them...furthermore he is the private tutor of Yuuki and I´m very sure that Kaname only choses one of the best for Yuuki

Oh Aido is very smart, and has also a lot of abilities- like Kaname's sensor
He is also a good observator and we can forget that he was the one who saw that Kaname killed Shizuka and Yuuki drank from Zero, so he was put in difficult situation, but he can keep the secret and think twice . So you are right he is the number 2.

His 10000 years weren't enough to improve his drawing skills. I guess he would never be hired to do something like this

He has everything planned. Like a plan A, B, C, D, E, etc..
His plans are sometimes ruined, however he always tends to fix it.
