You should read a manga to the end.
Yes, Kaname was killed by Rido when He was a newborn. Rido has awaken the ancestor of Kurans and has made him unable to kill himself. He was sure that ancestor would act on his will but it was not true.
The ancestor was very weak so he has taken a body of true Kuran's baby.

Nope this is incorrect. Kaname is in his own body not into Juuri and Haruka's son's body.

From what I understood from your question, probably you haven’t read the manga huh?
The story is way further developed from the end of the anime. I suggest to you, to read the manga as well cuz it is awesome.
Now about your question … I do not want to spoil it for you thus I’ll use a spoiler. If you still want to know click on it.

Well Kaname is indeed an ancestor. When Rido awakened him from his slumber, sacrificing the real son (also Kaname in name) of Juuri and Haruka, with the intention to devour him and gain his powers, Kaname’s body was in a very incomplete state cuz probably was in slumber perhaps for millennia. Due to that state he needed lots of blood to fully resurrect if not to take lives. Thus, in order to not harm anyone and cuz the bloodlust would take him over, he reduced his own body into a baby’s. He sealed his memory and left his fate into Haruka and Juuri’s hands who are his descendants. Haruka and Juuri raised him like their own son while knowing that actually he was their ancestor and not their real son.
So in short, Kaname is in his real body now, he regained his memory back when he was a toddler (we do not know the exact age), but he had to grow up again from the age of a baby.

And if we look at the scans we can see that the baby kaname blanket is on the lid of the coffin, while haruka found the baby - kaname the ancestor - on the floor, surrounded by adult, male clothes

Mmm ... what you mean? If Asato knew that Kaname is an ancestor?
Asato yes knew it ... he revealed it when Kaname went to kill him.
