Ichijou's Grandpa?

Hm, i always wondered where Ichijou's grand-father was. Asato Ichijou was always a rival for Kaname and he made things sort of interesting.
We know that Takuma and Asato fought, but did Asato really die?
I don't think that he was such a vampire, who would die so easily. Could it be possible that he is alive and is hiding or something like that? I know, that Takuma is very loyal to Kaname, but whenever he had to choose between Kaname and The Elder Council, he chose the Elder Council. But then again, he did regret doing that and he had his reasons.
But i really want to know if Asato is alive or dead. Crying or Very sad

I'm sure he is dead. Takuma said that they thought to the death. I think they hurt each other and were lying on the ground when Sara Shirabuki appeared. She saved Takuma's life, because he was important pawn for her. I don't think she want to help Ichiou, because as the head of Council of Elders, he mad her submissive. She said in one chapter that she let Council belive, she is only a doll who take orders from them, but she truly realizes her own plans to be a queen.

I asked this question only because i sort of missed him. He gave so much trouble to Kaname, he made things interesting for Kaname and me. Sara is not so interesting.

I'm convinced he is dead. I can partly understand why you would miss him, he was different from the other bad guys, I wouldn't even put him in the same category as the others. Well, for me he ust was a bitter old man from the beginning, who simply couldn't deal with the fact that his grandson got all the good looks in the faily and he... Looked like an idiot. ^^

I think asato is dead. I don't remember takuma mentioning he let him alive.
But hino's too impredictible, maybe he's alive somewhere *we didn't witness his death, so who knows...
