How far do you know VK?

I wanted to ask this a long time ago...LOL

How is your knowledge about VK? Have you read all the chapters? Seen the anime? Own all volumes? Bought or want to buy the fanbook?

Are you still reading about it? How far have you gone? Also do you consider it to be a complicated story in general?

ok, let's see.....i read all the way up to chapter 74, trying to be able to read the rest and be up to date, but i just don't seem to find the time lately! plus, because it seems that i've missed a lot of important info, i'm re-reading it, so that i get it completely.
i'm watching the anime right now and have just completed season 1 the other day and am on the second season right now.

i found the manga a bit confusing and difficult. but perhaps that was because i've never read manga before^^.
but no matter what, it is not an uncomplicated story. Twilight was one of the first vamp stories i've read, and it's far from being as complex as vk. there's a lot more going on in the vk.

i don't own anything from the manga yet. i'm reading the scans online, but i will purchase them as soon as i can. and i would love to get the fanbook as well.
the anime i have, so right now, that's my only official purchase.

I watched the anime first. Got hooked pretty quickly after the first episode from my curiosity because a particular main character (Kaname) too closely resembles Lelouch from Code Geass, my latest obsession at teh time.

Anyway, I don't have the patience to read the manga first most of the time, but the anime was amazing. So I decided to follow the manga and intend to until it ends. Like a lot of people said, it is so much more intense. It had me bawling my eyes when Ichiru goes to meet Zero in the cell. It had me cry of happy tears when I just read the bonus chapter of Juuri and Haruka's umbrella chapter <-- so beautifully written.

NOT only that, Hino's style is beautiful. The elegant style makes it my favorite, so I guess I'm also a sucker for bishounen style.

Anyhow, I'm on chapter 49-ish. I'm going REALLY slow on purpose to absorb everything in. I've read on the spoilers, I've read the latest chapters, so just filling the gap.

Right now, I'm at:


Kaname: "You have decided to spend the rest of eternity with me regardless of anything else, but I really wanted to confess all my crimes to you so you would know. Even if you don't ever let me touch you again, I only ask you to please let me stay next to you anyway."


Yuuki: "I too have done things that I can't possibly atone for. And if you were to be branded as a sinful and tainted vampire, then ... Then I want to fall down with you to the very furthest depths."


Kaname's thought: "After countless nights where I kept wishing and wishing for this very moment while nearly giving up hope, I finally have my beloved girl in my arms, to spend the eternity ahead together."


Then kissie . . . I am such a fan girl that sometimes I scare myself.

Ah, long post.

@Saphira_Kuran and norngpinky ... you do not wanna know how many times I have read this manga ... I will only disclose that after the first two times I had understood less than what I really had grasped

So keep walking ... but I also have to admit that I envy you ... I would really want to be able to discover VK from the beginning again!

i know the feeling!!! nothing like the first go on an awesome read!
when it's all said and done, i'm going to be so sad that it's all over. you get so used to "having" them there, you miss it afterwards and kinda go around in a daze for the next several days.
and then try to immerse yourself in another story....so difficult sometimes!!!

I love Vampire Knight probably too much I have the whole series 1-16 and am waiting for book 17 to be released here but I have read every single one I have countless posters and the art book the english and japanese version and the fanbook and currently trying to aquire the day class handbook and uugh it's taken over my life xD I even have the night class uniform in in my closet.. <3 <3 I am a super fan xD

currently, the only thing i've acquired is the fanbook. the artbook is def on my wish list!

Unfortunately I have only see the anime and I was pretty disappointed, 'cause it was too short. I want to read the manga though. I guess I 'm gonna order them...

might want to read online first....the ending is far different from the anime

Vampire Knight is the reason I am a super otaku now if I had not come across the manga..oh god who knows where I might be right now xDD It is my life goal now to just collect everything that is Vampire Knight and I search for hours looking for VK figurines :pitie:and I still must get the plushies -weeps- I might be a little too obsessed x'D

eh, who cares, as long as you're happy   heck if i could spend frivolously, i'd get a lot more  

heheeee ive gotten the fanbook ald..u should buy the artbook, its just beautiful. Hino is really a good artist

I have watched all the episodes and read most of the books. But being the spoiler queen that I am, I looked up everything!! Haha, anyway, I joined this forum a LONG time ago, like 4 years maybe? Anyway, I couldn't find my username and stuff. So I gave up and made a new account!

^ i do that sometimes (look up spoiler in advance) not often...but here and there lol
