Her role in the story

Rima’s role is supportive next to Shiki. As they both share a mutual love and friendship, Rima is able to recognize at once any change concerning Shiki. When she becomes certain that Shiki’s body is possessed by Rido, Rima challenges him into a fight, trying to bring the old Shiki she knows so well on the surface. She finally manages to do so but she gets wounded. After Rido’s destruction by Zero, Rima and Shiki leave together and they go on a search for their friend Takuma. Rima seems agitated with Kaname for not telling them that Takuma has been living with Sara for a year now but also sad about all the events that took place and connect the Kurans with Rido’s death.

*What does her name mean?
Toya means a "far reaching arrow". Rima's first name is a combination of ri or "Jasmine", and ma, which signifies enhancement by wearing away, such as polishing or scouring.
