Does Kaname still love Yuki?

Well after finishing chapter 83, I wonder does Kaname still love Yuki? I don't think it is obvious if he does. But something tells me that he might kill her...
I think that ancestor Kaname still has an attachment with the "Hooded Women" and thinks that Yuki is bringing out the old Kaname (the reborn Kaname) and keeping him from being 100% with his plan. I don't know. I want to believe that he still loves her but it doesn't seem like it right now... sad face

1.Do you think Kaname has two personas in one body (ancestor and reborn)

2.What is Kaname's plan? Is it for Yuki? Is it for "the hooded women"? Is it for himself? or for the humans.

3. I want Sara to die. I detest her strongly. I think she will!

What do you think?

I actually think that Yori may have a bigger part in the story like sacrificing herself or maybe even becoming helpful to zero or she may be targeted. I have a feeling that she will... (Just a theory)

(I would appreciate it if we stayed in topic and you reply has an answer to every number question and your feedback on my theories/ predictions)

I think he still loves her, but there is more to the story that we don't know yet. I don't have any theories about what, just a feeling. I mean why would Kaname go through everything previously like getting jealous of Zero for being close to Yuuki and do everything to protect her just to say "I don't really care, I was just doing something to pass time "

To me, it's kind of in between. I don't know. We just have to see what Hino-sensei do.

I think that he loves her and he is doing all of these for her sake in order to fulfill his initial promise and build a safe world around her where she can live free without restrictions and limitations. There are many clues that suggest that, the promise that he gave to her when they were young, the initial warmth that he felt when holding her as a baby and said that he wanted to protect it, the fact that in his contradiction scene with Rido he is picturing two Yuuki, one bound and the other one happy and free...

after this scene Kaname makes the revelations and sets his plan in order to go away...it just shows that he is delving in hypocrisy....

meanwhile his plan is dangerous and perhaps a one without return

under this view how could he even say to Yuuki that he has chosen this path or this way for her? would she accept that? no, never! he lies to her about his intentions in thousand ways, and yet she struggles to fight him and find out more. She questions his sayings and that's the correct way to go.

What we do not know is what changed Kaname's decision to stay with her? because even though his original plan was her protection (and he is also stating that to Ruka when he finds Yuuki sleeping at the night dorm), on the way he gave in to his feelings and he decided to remain next to her side.

So why is he acting this way now? which danger does he see that he can not fight? why is there a constant fear in him that he shall lose Yuuki? has these anything to do with his premonitions? at the scan with the shattered mirror, I wonder if the ancestor Kaname had another premonition of the current Yuuki as he had when Yuuki was in his past at the chapter with the Hunters and the Ancestors.

Is there a connection?

During this arc my main observation is that Hino contradicts totally with the first arc.

If we believe what are told now, we are to forget all that we have read this far...

and i do not think that anyone can doubt Kaname's own words that he had his favorite girl to spend a thousand nights together...so there is something there and Kaname recognized and acted as such. The question is what?

I know. I think the fact that we have gotten to know this is a way from Hino-sama to say that we shouldn't write off Kaname as a bad guy from what he is doing now just because we don't know what his intentions are (other than killing purebloods).
I mean we could have gotten through the story without knowing some of Kaname's internal dillemas yet we are showed them.

Anyway it's time for so

Kaname fell asleep and never expected to be awaked. That is, if he expected to be reduced to dust, it is obvious that he had no plans forthe future. For me, it is clear that he fell asleep when he felt safe to do so - after creating the weapons and have instructed the hunters.


But he was awake. When he awoke, he realized that the situation was the same as ten thousand years ago. But he met Yuki. He decided to interrupt temporarily his schedule. He postponed hw´s desire for Yuki.

He resumed this desire because he saw that Sara had started acting when she killed Ouri. He realized that she wanted to be Queen. He realized he had to kill PB to protect Yuki.

And this explains the fear of losing Yuki that Kaname feels. He knows that Yuki also has a nature-oriented to self-sacrifice. And he saw that HW preferred to be sacrificed to give power to the hunters. Kaname knows that Yuki might also want to make some kind of sacrifice to keep the peace. Yuki does not agree with the extermination of the PB.

Hw sacrificed herself. The weapons and hunters were created. Hunters are able to defend humanity. That was her wish. If her desire was to kill each PB in the world, there was no need to create weapons because one PB can kill the other, although this will generate a war, as indeed happened in past.

When Kaname tells Yuki does not want her involved in a hopeless cause. This happened just after Yuki decided to be a rapper, to prevent a PB use the life of a hunter.

To Kaname, HW sacrificed needlessly. Because most of the PB still behaving as before - it is noted from the conversation between Kaname and Hio.

Killing each PB in the world is not a hw´s desire. At least, a direct will. She said: I do not want the extermination of our people, but I can not forgive who is disrespecting human life - something along those lines.

Therefore, kill every PB is an act that Kaname found it necessary, after having realized that they continue acting as before, especially by Sarah´s attitudes.

And even if it is a hw´s desire, I do not see how this precludes his love for Yuki. If he was able to stop this desire because he loves Yuki. And he resumed this desire exactly for Yuki, for her protection.

He simply abdicated to be with Yuki.

About Rido´s words - you know she will be devoured in the end - I think this coincides with the fact that he wants (kaname) to turn Yuki into a human. So she will not live forever.

My answer is: yes, he do loves her.

2. This is his original plan, he would do that before he went to slumber but he didn't do because he didn't have any will to do but when he saw Yuuki was born he said this is something he has to protect.

Kaname said to elder senate before he eliminated them that they were the same, nothing changed. Kaname had hesitated for his OP before but when he saw that Yuuki might do something reckless and sacrifice herself to do with something unnecessary. Yuuki had intend to be a reaper and got attacked by Touma.. This accident changed Kaname's OP completely. I think in the same time he also investigated Sara, what was her motivation, he might know already that Sara killed her fiance.

Kaname let Yuuki away from him, it's her safety. So, now things seem to be changed, not as planed (like Sara's). He can't make Yuuki go away from him and Yuuki intends to stop him instead but his plan is still on processing. I wonder what will happen? Now they are in the basement where HW's heart is. Strongly, when Yuuki tried to capture Kaname, here wings appeared.

His plan is for mankind (human) but the most reason he didn't hesitate as before it was Yuuki. Yuuki is the one who makes Kaname starting thinking to do his OP as well as Sara's movement doesn't seem to be a right thing for human. His plan is not only for Yuuki, but it's Yuuki that makes him change to do it.

I understand both Kaname and Yuuki, I can't blame Yuuki for everything she did in ch.83 that hurt Kaname. He definitely love Yuuki, if not he wouldn't push her away and his entire arm was cut. Now, he uses his blood to reform it but it's not his real arm, he will need Yuuki's blood to heal it...Speaking of that, he sacrificed it for Yuuki..

3. Sara will die, I can't stand if she won't die at the end... Look, how she manipulates Takuma,Zero and Yuuki. She is a coward, she can't even fight against Kaname face to face. She deserves to be killed and Yuuki is the choice who will kill her.. Kaname is good further than her, he isn't the one who is her enemy to fight, Yuuki is enough.

I also see in this chapter is Yuuki and Kaname's equality. That Aido-dono had said if she could go against Kaname, then it made Yuuki started thinking about their equality. It's development of Yume..

Yuuki don't believe Sara to be a goody two shoes, but she doesen't know of what Sara has done like we have. It seems to make perfect sense to me. Sara deserves to die and I hope one day that Yuuki will finish her. And I believe that Evil in Love have made that point exactly in this chapter. Kaname & Yuuki both share one common word-- equality. Their relationship is already developing. I hope one day that Kaname understands Yuuki's feelings. He needs her now more than ever.

Now Kaname is doing the same thing!!!

So he decided to kill all the pureblood!
Also because of "H.W.'s wish" ...
but I think that all this omicides is the only solution to save the world...or at least the human world...!! Yes because if Kaname kill really all the pureblood (Yuuki excluded I think in the end she became another time human but with all her memories!!! ^^) the vampire's race is going to end...yeah it remain the noble and normal vampire (also the last level e) but they haven't the same powers of the pureblood!!

About the question here . The answer is very simple . Yes , Kaname did love Yuuki . Even now .

Not many maniac serial killers would lose an arm to protect a woman they didn't care at all . ( very extreme example )

Well , in reality most of the recent chapters have at least one remainder of Kaname's love for Yuuki .

People has quoted them before . So I'm not going to repeat them for now .

But here is the catch . Kaname enters his eternal slumber way after the HW sacrificed herself . Not 10 years later . Not probably 100 years later . Not even 1000 years later . Kaname had to enter his slumber around 1000 -2000 years before the present events of V. K. ( or around 5000 - 7000 years after HW died .

Why I estimate Kaname's slumber started around 2000 years ago is due from some very small clues . The most important is from the umbrella bonus chapter . Yuuki mentioned her grandfather being the one who gave her permit to study in a human area . The study had suggested so far Juuri's grandfather is Kaname ( as Ancestor Vampire King ). If she dies before her 3000 birthday . It's impossible for Kaname had enter it before she was born .

Less than 1000 years is almost improbable . If used ths case of
Hanadagi . Who was 400 years in his own slumber . And his physical appearance was relative okay . Kaname's slumber couldn't be shorter if he looks as a mummy when he awaken .


By the few information available . Kaname had a X - period where he cooperated with the humans that become the new vampire hunters . Where his plan was to fulfill HW's desire to eliminate all purebloods . As the existance of the purebloods compromised the existance of humans .Meaning
Kaname was thinking of being the last pureblood in existance . Then kill himself .

But something had to happen in that past . Kaname had said his plans changed in the past . Why they changed ? This change of plans was the one which ended making Kaname Vampire King and allowed 7 pureblood vampire clans to survive . Ending with a bunch of rules for vampires to allowing humans not being ended as vampire toys / food .

If HW was dead . Would Kaname was the one who indeed had a change of heart to allow some purebloods to live ? Or there was another pureblood person in his life who was the one who make him change ?

Here is were I'm inclined to think there was another pureblood woman in Kaname's past . The one who ended to be Kaname's Vampire Queen and mate . And most probably Yuuki's past life . The person who was the cause of him ending in despair . As he lose her years later .

If Kaname had lost his will to live during his past . Why he decided to enter an eternal slumber instead of killing himself ? This probably is because he had a small hope from finding what he was looking in the future ( her lover perhaphs ? ) .

When Kaname awaken his memories in his new kid's body . He had to recognize the same woman from his past in Yuuki's eyes . A new opportunity for him to be happy . And he was for a little while . Until discovering he was going to lose him again . So he first chosen the plan to make Yuuki human ( one he didn't like ) to protect her . Considering he had to sacrifice himself eventually for her to keep her human appearance ( as she has this special power to break spells ) .

When Kaname ended making the choice to return her to pureblood vampire . He did hope to be with her forever . And for a little whle it works . But somehow Kaname decided to forget his happiness with Yuuki to complete the original plan he abandoned thousands of years ago .

Why he did that ? This could be the Rido factor . Rido is alive and attached to Kaname's body . As their bond has not being broken yet . For now Rido has not enough power to cause by himself any physical damage ( as he is basically a bunch of blood cells ) . But could influenciate Kaname's thoughts .

Another thing could be related with Kaname's power of premonition . Kaname has saw in a nightmare / vision Rido killing Yuuki . With him being present at the same time licking the remains of her blood . What this could mean ? If Kaname's vision is true . There will be a time Rido will possess Kanane's body to do his bidding . As Rido is urgently requiring to regenerate a new body . With Yuuki the top candidate for giving him blood .

But how Rido could possess Kaname ? How I see , now is the moment for him to do so . Kaname is very hurt by anti - vampire weapons . Meaning for him to regenerate he would need a lot of blood and time . Even if Yuuki gave him her own blood . Which is more and more depleted by the last donations she had give recently . Yuuki had also her regenerative powers stopped for a while . She cut her hair with Artemis and scracthed with a anti - vampire sword at her cheek . Now Kaname and Yuuki will fight each other at chapter 83 . If this time Rido understands Kaname is close to dying . He could decide to take take of the situation . Meaning Rido possessing Kaname . Because Rido would fear if Kaname's died , he will die with him . And no more hope for him to regenerate .

Kaname loves Yuuki so much ; he can't kill her . Even if she kills him first . But Rido cares more about his own existance that Yuuki's love . So a possibility for the last part of V. K. is Rido using
Kaname's body to fullfil his own plans . Ending with Kaname's premonition nightmare events .

This would be worse story line... I don't expect that at all. Why Rido still is on the play ground since he didn't have a body to fight with other? Rido is only a dark side of Kaname. He can't reform himself to do what he wanted as you said. He only mocked Kaname to do it, he might have influence in Kaname's plan but it wouldn't make him change Kaname completely bad. I think Rido can't control Kaname, the only Rido appears now is because of Kaname's fear. As long as he can't live with Yuuki peacefully on the earth, Kaname can't lose fear and Rido will appear sometimes. It's Kaname's weakness of losing Yuuki. He thinks alone of that. Yuuki still doesn't know about Rido's existence as such. It's Yuuki who has to help him to go through it, shows him that how strong she is and when human and vampire can live happily/peacefully together. And one day Rido will go away completely. Yuuki doesn't need to destroy Rido at all. Rido shouldn't come to play in the show as the main point to destroy Kaname. Now, Kaname gets enough things to learn, he needs cooperators and allies. Therefor, Hino needs to work hard to fix her plot-holes, not another little Rido arc.
