His Role in the Story

Kain mostly follows Kaname, Ruka and Aido, each one for different reasons. He supports Kaname, he loves Ruka and he is a close friend and relative to Aidou's familly. His role mostly revolves around Ruka. Ruka does not pay any attention to his feelings as she is love with Kaname but Kain seems to be patient enough for her to come around. When Kaname and Yuuki leave from Cross Academy, Kain decides to follow Ruka and Aidou in their decision to find and to support Kaname. Kain then becomes another person much entrusted by Kaname.

Gossip: Kain gets mostly in trouble because of his cousin Aidou, as it is described in the volumes, Kain is depicted as the "victim of the circumstances", when Aido breaks the campus laws and Kain pays the bill as he is seen with with.
