You know when you read a good and interresting manga and the manga just did end so bad or boring. What´s the worst you read?

    My answer is:

Ani-Com: When i read this i did think it would turn out interresting but it didn´t. It did really feels like the Manga-ka did try to finish the story so hurry she could. And it turn out to be kind of boring it. So it disappoit me a lot. Evil or Very Mad

Death Note: The ending was pretty dull. And i did end up hating Light. So not good. Evil or Very Mad

Manga which dissapointed me scratch it's hard to give a name since I usualy drop them if my need aren't satisfied, but I will try....

    • Boy of the female wolf
      Forbidden kiss
      Idol shopping

those three are manhwa and in those stories the boy is a "cool guy who can beat anyone, bla, bla, bla" It's annoying to see these kind of characters.

Random walk - I read this long time ago. I think it was about a girl confused about love, she had the hooby to fall in love a lot.

I love high school - a manga i read to pass time. it was a short story and I wasted my time. I do not recommand for someone to read it.

Venus capricio - I liked it, the drawing is good, but at the end I wanted at least a kiss from main characters.

A manhua I want to add is The One. It was interesting at first, but somewhere on the road the story took another course and well...I kind of lost interes. I am still reading with the hope it will take a good turn. A thing I don't like is how the characters eyes are draw, are empty - literaly.

Death Note: The ending was pretty dull. And i did end up hating Light. So not good.

I saw just the anime, I didn't read manga. manga and anime are different?

Don´t know i haven´t watched the anime because i didn´t like the ending. But my sister did watch it and did read the manga afterwards. So maybe the anime has a better ending? scratch
Okay i like Forbbiden Kiss and I´m angry at the heroine because she knows she loves him but she avoid her own feelings and date other guy indstead i feel sorry for that guy Sad but that´s just me. But if you want a good Manhwa i can say "A kiss to my prince" Is really good. But if you start reading it say what you think about it after reading the first 1-5 chapters because i think that Yume and Zeki fans will have diffrent opions on it Razz

In anime Light is killed, he's shot by Matsuda. Is different in manga?

that girl is annoying. I pty shin because he's in love with this kind of girl and I pity the other boy because he's in love with a girl who doesn't share his feelings but date with him to easy her conscience.

The anime and manga are pretty much the same. The manga is a little more detailed, but it's really an anime that sticks to the original storyline, most conversations are even exactly the same.
If you want a 'better' ending, you could watch the movies.
    Spoiler:
It was quite diffrent from the original story though. But the actors for both L and Light did an amazing job. (Just don't pay attention to the side characters...)

Still, I'll always death note a great manga/anime.

Wolf guy ookami no monshou however was a dissapointment. The storyline, character devellopment and art was amazing. But it was way to explicit. I know it's something to expect since it was a seinen manga, but still it was just far to much and it distracted too much from the original storyline. I can stand a lot, but even a lot of guys I know found it too perverted.

Oh my god, maybe I get in a blacklist now, but really, I have a grudge against Fruits Basket.

Ok, Kyo is a cute boy, but Yuki deserved more. I really thought "I like you as my mother, " a bit coward device to solve the LT. To me it´s much more worthy "ok, I was rejected by person I love as a woman. Now, life goes on. "

I hope not to see anything like that in VK, because I think Yuki loved both boys romanticly. Well, this happens, after all, the men in question are Kaname and Zero. I could also get confusing too. Ok, silly.

@Vanille-chan: Fruits Basket is no good? Okay, I won't read it then. To be fair though, it is very hard to write a good love triangle without getting some of the fans mad (haha, read almost any post in this forum and you can see what I mean geek )

@Anneliezz: I loved Wolf Guy, does that make me a bad person?....Just half kidding, I still think the art was amazing, but for those special scenes, I skipped some pages: I cannot watch horror movies either, I sit in the chair with my ears covered and my eyes closed. I prefer comedy, either in manga or in movies....but Wolf Guy is still a great manga to me. I liked the ending too.

@everyone: So does Death Note manga get recommended or no? I feel like you guys are undecided if it is good or not. All I know is that alot of the characters from that anime are on the top hottest anime guys lists. Is there any good female characters? (better than Yuuki?...not that she is bad or anything...)

Edit: I forgot to give a bad manga

Mishounen Produce: starts off amazing, cute characters, shoujo fun....but the story has a fast finish just when a love triangle was being setup. I guess the manga was not popular enough to continue Sad

Who said Death Note is bad had never read anything in his / her life .
Death Note is one of the top manga in script / drawing quality level . Grade of A ( between 90 - 95 % in my book ) . I don't give it a 100% percent because it lost a little in the wow factor after volume 8 ( after L's death ) . It has quality enough to could work as a regular novel written by one of the most famous modern writers ( as King , Clancy , Crichton , Grisham . ) Highly recommended for any manga / anime fan .

And yes , Misa - Misa is annoying sometimes . That's how she is portraited in the story . She is annoying to the ones around her . But not everytime villians are thin , high , hat users , black clothes dressed , guys with mustaches . She is a different kind of villian . The cute , gothic chick ,annoying one .

Fruits Basket is good Shojo . Basically one of the best examples for how to write a succesful Shojo triangle . But for me is kind of overratted . More in the B grade department . I enjoyed more the side stories than the actual TL plot . And if you consider Yuuki a weak main character . Touru is the best example for a weak ,selfless , cute girl who only by being present with her charming smile resolves everything .

I liked Tsubasa . B + in my rantings . The ending is very sad . Cardcaptor Sakura ( the prequel ) has a more happy ending . But this is CLAMP . You expect sweet and sour endings . The story got a lot confusing after the revelation of the clons plot . Maybe most people enjoyed the first half part more than the second middle of the story . Also the story expect the reader to have at least a reasonable knowledge of CLAMP's works and considered reading XXX - holic (cross- over manga work ). Not a good manga for beginners of CLAMP's works . Consider reading or watching the anime of several CLAMP's works before trying this one . At least Cardcaptor Sakura ( the original Japanese anime version or manga one ). They butchered the anime in the USA English version (Cardcaptors )

Terrible manga ? I had read a lot . But many are Yaoi . One shots or single volumes . Not even worthy to mention here .

Considering reading a Wolverine manga version . That's sound crazy . Just stick to X - men or any Marvel comic with Wolverine on it .

Correct...I really loved Death Note, I read it so fast...ok after a certain moment I wanted to stop, the ones who read it know what I mean, but I continued and I think it was a good decision! Near and Mello are ok too, but in my eyes no concurrent to L^^ (yeah personal preference). The story was so fresh and it was so funny sometimes too^^ and Light and L are so intelligent^^

Misa is annoying that´s true, but it makes her special, she is a bright and lively character, no real villian, and she is in love...she should be annoying, it was part of the concept...I had no problem with her

I really loves DN, so I watched the anime too, and it was the real decisions...ok the real-time movies weren´t that good, but I´m afraid what will happen when the amaricain movie will be published

well that really depends if you're curious about death note but in my opinion is very very addicting. cheers cheers the opening and ending themes were quite catchy and after you get lured into the storyline it becomes part of the game. Very interesting especially the constant mind game between L and Light, the suspense and edge of the seat thrill , and the strange fad of the geniuses.
the anime was better in my opinion especially in combination with the rock music. cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

Misa's hairstyle was annoying (LOL) she looks like an overweight preschooler made to dress goth and pose sexy. But I love her candid personality and her way to reference people by 3rd person even herself. Her role as villain was pretty interesting too, but its sad the way Light had used her. Overall she was quite amusing and unique as a character.

I loved Death note it was very good ! I find it very satisfying than annoying.

    @ caela

Yes, the art is one of the best I've seen and like I said, also the storyline and characters were great. But yeah some chapters were....Let's say that without the percviness it would've been one of my favourite series. I might read it again, but with a lot of skipping pages then Razz. And indeed loved the music xD

About death note. I love that series
I was only referring to the movies for the sake of better ending. But still both the anime and manga were the best Amazing art, storylne, characters and the voice actors in japanese and english (which is rare) are great. It's deffo sth I can recommend. And maybe misa was a little anoying, but she was cool as a villain and she too had her epic/brilliant
    moments.

@mari: I don't want to be annoying, but maybe you should put that one part in a spoiler? (for the people who haven't read it yet) Sorry for involving, but it's ment for the best Very Happy

Agree, Death Note is one of the most interesting anime and is one of my favorite.
The game between light and L was captivating, how L anticipated light loves and viceversa.
In my opinion L was smarter than nel or melo. to catch kira, nel started from L clues, but L had nothing and after his investigations he suspected light being kira.

Misa was some kind of annoying, but I still liked her.

    I recommand Death note.

I'm guessing you mean near here ^^. But You're totally right. cheers L knew found out alone that Light was Kira. Near and Mello had to work together and had some clues of L to figure that out.

L will be forever one of the best characters in manga.

Yes, near. I kind of forgot his name, I would call him N next time.
N was a smart too, the way he tricked kira was amazing, but the title remains to L. He was amazing.

Thank you everyone who posted (aya-chan, anneliezz, sweetsolace, mariangie, katherine, shizza24 and anyone whose name was on the first page of the thread....sorry...)

I'll try fruits basket and Death Note. I read XXXholic and loved it but never had time for TRC (looked to big to read in one night...) Shocked

hmm...another bad manga....Parfait Tic. I loved the art but I felt like the love triangle was never resolved properly, same with almost any manga by Miki Aihara (Hot Gimmick, Teacher's pet, Tokyo boys and girls...etc) Aihara-san is great with art style, but she loves open ended love triangles. Hot Gimmick even has an alternate ending written. Part of the fun of a love triangle is knowing that only one guy gets the girl.

Mangas that disappointed me? A lot. But I'll list some that I have not forgotten about.

Uwasa no Midori-kun started as awesome but I think in the end the author played it safe and lost her sense of adventure. wtv.

Mx0 was one manga I really enjoyed however I guess it wasnt very popular because it was stopped hence a very ugly ending. And its so sad because it had so much potential.

Naruto I still read from time to time to get myself updated, but I can still remember a time when I would check the Naruto forums to debate on whats going to happen next every single day. That was before Sasuke left, which was a long time ago. Since then, it has become a story about Naruto going after Sasuke and it got really annoying. I dislike Sasuke so much now. But then again I was never a Sasuke fan.

And a lot of shojo mangas actually. I can name very few shojo mangas that are not a disappointment. Because most of the time it just gets to the point where the author just gets too desperate to stir the waters between the couple and the characters who were lovable at first begins grating on your nerves. Which is why I prefer love stories to center more on a plot and not on the couple.

As for Death Note, its one of my favorites (and it will forever be in my fave list) but I did get bored by N. I was a Raito fan and not L's but I still think that L was the best contender for Raito and the fact that L failed where N succeeded grates on my nerves. It still does. The best moments where L and Raito working together. They were really great. It will forever be my most fave part of the manga.

    About Naruto:
At the beginning I liked it, the idea was fresh, the characters interessting...I have to admit that I loved Sasuke and Shikamaru alot at the beginning...when Sasuke left I was a little bit angry and the reason was shown very fast: he was shown not very often and all this time we had to see how Naruto became better but not mature (he annoys me so much, I can´t describe it) ok I gave it a try and continued reading and searched for other characters I could like, ok Akatsuki, men in dark cloaks, seem to be mysterious, so I began liking some of them, but unfortunately all of them were killed after some time...ok Sasuke left over, maybe he becomes interessting again. But what I see today is just weird, I don´t like these new powers at all and the whole Madara thing is stupid...this whole war has too much ends, too many characters, I don´t really get it lately (and naruto rescued all again, well at least for the moment, I hate that, and in his company is this rapper...so annoying) well I don´t like it very much anymore, it´s just too bizarre right now in my eyes...

    to Death Note:
Well I was an L-fan but Raito was great too...he was so intelligent and what I liked was that he had so many emotions that controlled some of his moves...it´s only natural for every human being. When they were a team it was great, especially when Raito didn´t remembered anything at all...he looked so cute and innocent back then. of course the ending was great too, although it wasn´t L who defeated Raito...still one of my favs, I own all the books and the anime-series (normally i donßt buy series but I just had to^^)

those saying that L did all the work and N had Mello.

Oh come on. Everyone should know Mello was uncooperative and b*tched more than he helped. And did he even "helped"? I dont even remember it. Most of the time he was being jealous over Near Razz. N and L were different in their own ways, for one L is OLDER than Near of course he'd be better. But IMO, near was impressive in his own way because he was young and still brilliant when he solved Light's mystery, and I just like his style better than L. cheers When it was L's arc it was more like a mind game between him and L, I didn't feel it was as serious as when Near took over, because in Near's arc it already involved the mass media and even terrorists he was dealing with.
What was weird was despite everything L did he failed and even died in the end and he couldn't finish it. His death was really sad but Near becoming his successor was quite refreshing start. If there was someone who helped Near it was the ones doing his legwork, the fbi people with him, because he can't go out and expose himself, in short doesn't want to compromise his security. So he stayed most of the time inside HQ and looking more like a hermit. I love his confidence and how he sounds cocky sometimes.
cheers you guys are just jealous, LOL..
