Rido and Kaname

I don't know if Rido came to be before Kaname or after him, and I wanted to know how and why...

One of Kaname's sons?? Now I'm really confused. But I guess there are some things we never understand.

Kaname is the oldest and most powerful vampire in the series, even more so that Isaya, because he is an 'ancestor'. In order to be an ancestor, Kaname fathered the Kuran pureblood line (presumably with the Hooded woman, Kaname's first love and a fellow original pureblood). Therefore, since Rido is a Kuran himself, Kaname has to be a paternal relative of his. I never thought that Rido was Kaname's son but I suppose it could be possible; if they don't choose to end their lives, or if they aren't murdered, purebloods live forever. So it's possible, but I think it's incredibly unlikely.   Kaname went into slumber a very long time ago, and Rido was Juuri and Haruka's brother. So that would make Rido and his siblings very, very old; almost as old as Kaname himself. Again, it's possible; Hino never reveals Haruka and Juuri's real ages. We just know that they were very old (but that could be anywhere from 1000 years or more; maybe not 10 000). Also, it's implied that the Kuran family line has been prominent and once ruled the vampire race for a very long time, so I suspect there were more Kuran vampires around in the past.
