Who best fits Yuuki? Who is made for her? Zero Or Kaname? And why?
OR
I know both are but what about what Yuuki needs?

i still believe that kaname was the best because of the love they shared. but i won't toss zero. it's just out of the 2 kaname had it best.
well, ce la vie.

Still, our Hino excused for that but... is she going to chance it? Because the ZEKI end wasn't fair for them. He seems like a back-up. Not COOL!

Why to change it? IMO this is exactly what she wanted >> a never ending debate about the LT because this is the easier way –cheap but easier- to keep VK “alive” even after its ending! After all didn’t she do the exact same thing while it was on going; she abandoned any effort to deliver a decent plot (the hard way) and she focused on the LT… so?
Who said that the ends do not justify the means folks?
And if you ask me; when the fandom is consumed by jumping on each others’ throat; moreover for an empty shell now >__>, then is playing Hino’s game… is serving her premeditated objective...

I dont think she will keep VK alive with that way, She only managed to disappointed a huge amount of her readers with that rough, cruel and unbelievable end. I think we deserved a better end really... Every month since 2005 I am waiting to read the VK, (and many times not every month) then keep up with the anime as well and then again with the manga. I really hope at least to right a sequel or even some bonus.
I'm curious, which manga is it? XDnina wrote:Hm… trust me on this. I’ve been in another fandom that was eating each other (I was one of them I admit it ) over an LT and an open-unfinished-end for 30 years!
Yup you red well … 30 years and that story never faded away exactly cuz of the feeling of unfulfillment and unfairness that was leaving to the reader.
I know from experience lol
And when after 30 years (or more) the author published the manga into a novel’s form; giving some hints about the identity of the end-game-guy; still she didn’t dare to give his name!
Why; cuz according to her own statements; –not my speculations- she didn’t want to spoil no one’s fantasy about who got the girl in the end! >__>
And guess what; there are still fans that are fighting over the new end once again! The recipe is tested and it works!
Well at least in that case there was a very well structured plot while in VK? That’s why I said over an empty shell previously

Candy Candy ended with Terry. I have the whole manga in my PC, the one you have there is not the end. It is the end according to the anime. I have it in Greek Language.
this is the original manga ending
http://z.mfcdn.net/store/manga/339/09-000.0/compressed/971.jpg
where she finishes finding Albert up the pony's hill!
I suspect that you are referring to the Italian version of the manga?
this is not valid, not written from Mizuki herself. The correct version is the manga ending above.
The end though were Nina refers to is either the anime nor the manga but the novels, that Mizuki herself republished after 30 years adding a new ending for Candy to Standford Upon Avon (Shakespears' homeland) .

No the one you have is not the original… it is an unofficial “sequel” from the Italian publisher which was translated and for the Greek magazine. Yes unfortunately the original story the one that Mizuki wrote with Igarashi as the illustrator is the one I gave above.
The original sequel with the “new” end could be found only in the novel that the author (Mizuki) published a few years ago but only in Japanese thus far.
But and the "new end" strongly implies that Terry is the one
EDIT: Just saw Juliet's reply
Believe me we know it by heart what happened...
but we never learn!

Nina, you want the author to spell his name.... LOL come on...
yes anyway, it was better than this "oh let the girl leave with uncle Albert"

haha another deep in thought ending, well Mizuki at some point said it herself that her writing lacked many things and she had not been thoughtful enough, i guess she could be referring to what her ending back then implied also. At least she took that thing back and opened the way for Tery (she killed Suzanna) and put Candy in England to Shakepear's homeland...so..at least she released the Tiger LOL

Hahaha … no I meant how much stuck up we were until we found out about the novel’s end(i.e. that Terry got the girl )… or do I have to refresh your memory?
No I know the implied name but still author’s excuse as for why she didn’t spell it; it is indicative of how mangakas/authors may think in order to “please” or better not “displease” anyone…
PS. And stop giving spoilers!

Ah the famous Candy Candy. This manga has been recommended to me quite a few times but I've never started it because of the LT. Never new Vk is going to end the same way.
