Vampire Knight's Names

I was wondering.....since Shiki's father is Rido, then Shiki is also a Kuran- although not pureblood... So why his last name isn't Kuran??

LOL, I am not joking though, if Aido is his first name then why do they say "The Aidou family has been always royal"... and if Hanabusa is his first name then why do they call him Aido? LOL. Can anyone explain?

I mean, they all call Akatsuki by his name, not his last name which is Kaien, and Akatsuki is the only one who always calls Aido not by his last name but Hanabusa! But at the same time Ichijou is always been called Ichijou and never Takuma and the same happens with Yagari, and with Shiki as well , I mean Senri- even his girlfriend calls him Shiki I think I suddenly have a headache :Hehe:

I'm not entirely sure, but I thing Shiki's mother wanted him to have her name. And since Rido didn't have much to do with Shiki...
And plus, It'd get a bit confusing having 2 Kurans.
We'd have to call one (or both) by their first name, and since their purebloods, wouldn't it be a bit informal to call them by their first name?

Senri is an illegitimate or b****** son of Rido . He wasn't legally recognized by Rido . Rido never marry his mother . So he couldn't use the Kuran name .

Also Senri is not a pureblood vampire . He is a noble one ; because he was born from a pureblood father and a noble mom .

I always wonder and ask myself if Akatsuki or Kain is his first name or not... I always forget that...somehow I have no problems with shiki and Aidou (Hanabusa sounds cute but just as a first name)

Akatsuki is the first name , Kain is the last name . One of the Night Class ex - members who is now beside Kaname . First degree cousin of Hanabusa Aido . The confusion here is Kain having a similar last name as the first name of Kaien .

Kaien Cross is the whole name of Yuuki's adoptive parent . But in this case Cross is not his real last name . At the bonus chapter about the photos , it was said he changed his last name every couple of decades to hide the matter he didn't age at all . So his real last name could be anything . Maybe we will get it near the end . Specially if his last name is related to the Kriryu's .

Senri Shiki is an illegitimate son ( AKA : b****** ) and a noble vampire . As son of a pureblood vampire and a noble vampire woman . He could not get his father last name as wasn't recognized by him as son . Probably purebloods vampires only recognize as offspring the ones they got when marry other purebloods . Meaning they only give their last name to their pureblood sons / daugthers .

I think it's because Shiki's mother didn't married in paper with Rido,she's just a tool for him,she gave birth to shiki for another purpose i think...
but in Kuran's family only the purebloods can receive the real surname..it's sad i know.
haruka and juuri were both siblings,just like they parents were...inside the Kuran family they only allowed marriage between the purebloods after all.
