ruka's death

so guys tell me can this be true??

I think that Ruka's death is a distant case....i watched the panel where the sword passes there somewhere between Zero and Ruka...



now if you look closer (at least that's my impression) we can see the tip of the sword barely touches Zero...but does not touch Ruka there either...the tip is between Zero and Ruka's left arm there....so it does not enters her body...so its kind of strange if she got hurt in there how she did...

I am under the impression that it can be a "troll" for the next chapter, and actually both of them are fine, unless there is something other that we do not see, example I can not see BR...was Zero holding that? what if it backfired? a lot of things could have happened so lets be patient...

absolutely NOT!!!!!! Ruka is an important part of the story she has to continue the story...there are such a lot of point not closed yet... For example the feelings for kaname, or for kain, what does she push her to follow and help kaname in his battle??? No there's no doubt ruka doesn't die... Be calm and relax ok?? I'm much worried for zero ... In the spoilers he was bitten by kaname's sword... :'( poor guy!! Zero! Don't die!!! I support youand yuki!! And your forbidden love as well XD

me too...I do not understand HOW they can be injured...Ruka from a sword that does not touch her body because is in front of her and Zero from a tip that does not touch him, does not go through him , that's why i say that this is a troll...

perhaps Ruka there fall down from the effort? she is in between and she should literally push the one away from the other...so we are talking a tremendous effort put there to stop the two...or even one...especially Kaname there..now Kain by seeing her falling might have understood either wise and think that she was injured (perhaps)....

I think Ruka is just injured as the sword went through her right shoulder, so didnt touch her heart or head. It will take a lot to heal though.

Ruka is a character I have grown to care for more and more as the manga has progressed. She’s such a sweetie, but at the same time she is quite strong. She’s a loyal person, who I think anyone could be confident in depending on. I was surprised it was Ruka who stepped in between Kaname and Zero, especially with her shielding Zero. I feel it stems down to Kaname why she acted that way, but for what reason we can only guess at yet. I wonder if she feels Kaname would regret it due to it hurting Yuuki, or that Ruka feels Kaname was overstepping the mark. It could easily be a bit of both or something different.

This scene though seems like a good plot device for Hino to use in two ways.

One, this could be used for Zero to show he is overcoming/progressing through his hatred of Vampires. Zero looked shocked when he saw Ruka cover for him, even though they have hardly ever spoken or interacted, that’s got to make him do a huge double take. So in Hino progressing Zero through this, this scene is a good way to show and start it off more openly.

Two, this could be used in getting Kaname a few redeemable points by showing a more human reaction to this incident, then he has previously. Kaname I think was shocked as he seemed to stop dead in his tracks after Ruka collapsed. He has a high opinion of her IMO, and has a soft spot for her too, so I think he won’t just not show any sign of emotion or concern. That would be hino taking it a little too far I think.

But whatever happens, Ruka better live otherwise I will not be a happy fan.

I totally agree with you... Maybe Ruka is 'only' hurt... Obviously Kain get mad.. And besides he might go against Kaname... Or maybe it was everything another Ruka`s illusion... But the speed of the last moment in the chapther make me thinking that it's not so... Poor Ruka!!! maybe Ruka wants to stop Kaname because she knows that Zero is indispensable for Kaname (like in the Rido's part...) in someway... Who knows?? Only Matsuri Hino can answer us..

I hope not! This will remind me too much of Code Geass.

I really adore Ruka and I think her character shouldn't end this way. As someone mentioned, there're still unresolved issues regarding her relationships with Kaname and Kain.

yup exactly,there is so much development needed for kain and ruka's relationship.ruka seems totally unaware of kain's affections but maybe she just ignores it.i so want ruka and kain to end up together and this can only happen if she remains alive.

I agree things are too unresolved and unless she gives a blunt death speech I really REALLY hope she isn't dying. Although in some twisted way I can see it happening

Well there is definitely comradely between Zero and Aidou. With what Hino has done and probably will be doing I can only imagine what she would do. Part of me thinks that maybe IF Ruka does die Kain will blame Kaname and go nuts or something along those lines. Because he loves Ruka so much, to lose her would devastate he and Aidou. Although Im sure Kain would say that he was fine because Ruka died for Kaname-sama. Stopping him from killing Zero who is Yuuki's dear friend. Despite the earlier hate between the night class and Zero, I don't really believe that they actually still despise each other. They all seem to accept that somehow fate has dealt them on different sides, But in the end I think that those lovely peaceful days they shared at Cross Academy unite them once again. Yuuki and Zero both being two of the anchors for those memories.And I don't know if any darkness can tear that feeling apart.

He did show concern for Aidou numerous times (we could argue he was checking on a captive but Aidou was free to leave so it isnt as plausible) however I think it depends, I think he has certain vampires he despises and others he 'tolerates' or cares about most of the ones he cares about like a certain girl *cough* and Aidou and the rest of the night class, definitely have a special spot in Zero's Ok part of his heart.

aido himself said that zero came to see whether he had become like him,so full of hatred.

yeah I remember that part... But Kain isn't Aido... Kain has thd powwr of controlling fire, and he is a hot head, he is much impulsive than Aido, I think that Kain might surprise all of us ^^
