Vampire Knight-Your Guess Final Chapter 93

I was wondering here at Home,If you guys would think the same as me...

M, personally i liked the trio preview- means that they will all return safe.
I think that the easiest plot for Hino right now, would be to put Yuuki there so she can stop/delay Kaname's intention to throw his heart at the furnace.

Meanwhile and while these two get emotional engaged with each other, Isaya understands that Kaname is still important for Yuuki and others, and so proposes to take his place so that new weapons can be created.

Probably the easiest solution that i can think of...

As for the purebloods, I do not seeing them surviving at the end, unless after the creation of the weapons one or two manage to retreat. I do not know but all these clues from the current chapter, can not see a pessimistic end/ very hard to happen. And since Yuuki's personal bet as a character is focused on saving kaname, I guess that there is only one thing that Hino can do to fulfill her role; save Kaname indeed.

I’ve been following this forum every month since the beginning of 2010. I’ve read practically everything that’s been posted on the site since that time, but I’ve never made a post of my own. But when I saw the topic for this thread - to make our predictions for the final chapter - I couldn’t resist - I knew it was now or never. So here are my thoughts/hopes:

My predictions for how VK will end have changed many times through out the course of my reading this manga, and I think Hino’s mind about how she wants to end it has changed as well - this is not uncommon for mangaka. You read in authors notes in the last volumes of manga all the time “I was going to do this, blah blah blah, but copped out at the last minute and did this other thing” or “I changed my mind half way through/when I got a new editor. ect” I’ve read the series through from chapter 1 ~ (80s/90s chaps) over 8 times, and I honestly can’t believe that she went into this with all 93 chapters planned out, knowing exactly how it would end from the get go. Case in point: all the foreshadowing about Yuki having to kill Zero by the time the series was over - her even going so far as to call volume 1 a “prologue” for the rest of the series and repeatedly saying she was determined to make it a tragedy. Then later on we get this hand wave of, “erm... don’t worry about it, it’s not going to happen after all *shifts eyes*” ...

In any case, I could ramble on and on about the different parts where it seemed like she changed direction at some point, but the bottom line about my prediction for chapter 93, where things stand right now up to this point, to put it in a nutshell: Zero and Yuki are able to convince Kaname to live on, Kaname and Yuki get married, possibly have children in some kind of flash forward epilogue, and Zero lives on as the “Knight” that either directly or indirectly “serves” the “royal family.” We’ve all known for a long time that he’s the “Knight” of “Vampire Knight” and many thought by virtue of this we’d have an overall Zeki ending, but think about it: Does a Knight usually get the “Queen”? No. They may have an affair, which is basically what the first part of the series was about, but ultimately the Queen belongs with the King. After all, how could Yuki possibly be with Zero now? He will either die or go crazy at some point, and she will live forever, so what kind of life could they have? (- I don’t mean to offend any Zeki shippers - in fact, I myself have been on the fence and liked both male leads equally throughout the course of the manga, but I think the writing has been on the wall from the beginning that Zero and Yuki aren’t meant to be together, hence Yuki’s depressing monologue outside the door after the masquerade. Even when she was “with” Zero for the first part of the series, she felt guilty and ashamed, and when she tried to hook up with him again later they both realized it just wouldn’t work. The relationship between the two of them in and of itself is very tragic, and I always cry at the end of the Guilty anime when Zero is walking around the school and Yuki isn’t there anymore, even though I’m happy for Kaname at the same time.)

As far as the war with the purebloods and weapons and such, there is obviously great significance in Yuki going back to get the artemis rod - otherwise she wouldn’t have wasted panels showing it. My thoughts are that since Yuki has already been shown more than once to be in tune with the hooded woman’s spirit, even though the other weapons are breaking, the artemis rod will survive and she alone with retain the power to kill purebloods. (hence, no sacrifice is necessary at all) This would certainly go along with her previous promise that SHE would take it upon herself to execute purebloods who didn’t want to live anymore, and in this way she could also discipline/eliminate ones who are turning humans against their will. I also think Hino might end up alluding to the promise between Yuki and Zero at the very end and reiterating that whenever he DOES go crazy, she will kill him, but until then he will continue to serve as her knight.

Few.... I hope that covers everything... Sorry for making my first post so long and winded. All that was just my best guess ~ I could be completely wrong and it really might have a Zeki ending w/ Kaname dead, or they could all end up dead, or all become mimes or something. Nothing would surprise me at this point

It may seem ludicrous, but the most burning question I have right now is: Whatever became of Seiren?? (ya know, after she was knocked out at the school and such)

Oh, and I’m not sure if it’s relevant, but I’ve been seeing the cover of the upcoming volume 18 floating around on the internet a lot and people saying that because it’s Yuki X Zero and it’s “the last volume” that must mean those two end up together... but I recently purchased the Japanese volume 17 and it only goes up to 83rd night. This means that 18 will have 84-88 in it... there will definitely be a volume 19 with 89-93 in it. And the fact that Zero is on the SECOND TO LAST cover makes me think even more that he won’t end up with her....

a prediction huh? well shall we see -

a new furnace apparently is a necessity - BR started to crack, and probably the same will happen with the rest of the remaining weapons; could be due to HW's spirit which is gone? - so someone must become the new parent.

About the other purebloods, don\t know what to say - it was obvious that they had no thoughts of peace in mind, they being a perfect example of why kaname decided to wipe their existence from the face of the earth. they might die during this current battle.

About the other gang (kain, ruka, aidou, etc) they might live happily ever after. in the future their children being friends, a mirror of their parents.

Either that or she's lost track of the story due to all the mysteries and fan service she's been trolling us with.
I personally gave up on guessing.Hino-sensei is a troll.

I can't understand why did Hino chossed to rush the things so much...there are many things left unsaid about shiki and rima and if they are going to be together,about akatsuki and ruka,about seiren...and even ichijo and how he feel about losing sara.i would liked to see some romantic relationships other then zero yuki kaname.do you think rima and senri have a chance?maybe a little kiss before it all ends??

What if, Zero is the one being sacrificed in the end? (he is THE hunter after all) ...

I know, but how i said was inspired by another manga - I think you knows it too. and in case this will happen (though I doubt) kaname and yuuki have an eternity to make a kindergarten

I would’ve been happier IF what you mentioned were the only things that Hino won’t unfold… I’m sure she will left out much more fundamental elements for the structure of the story than Rima and Shiki’s relationship. Though for someone who is fan of them I can understand it…
For me Rima and Shiki are in friend-zone either way but I guess it is kinda open to interpretations…

Well yes they could theoretically… but think the psychological impact mainly on Kaname!
I cannot imagine him by no means to be able to bear such horrid sacrifice for his sake… no way! Here he had tremendous guilt about the murder of baby-Kaname in which he had no power to stop/control either way…

And yes it won’t happen … but what are you suggesting aya-tan? Here we’re trying to save him from the darkness not to plunge him deeper! My poor baby *sob sob*

I hope that Isaya takes Kaname's place instead and place his heart into the furnace. Kaname must listen to Zero now... follow his heart and win Yuuki's love. Yuuki wants Kaname now more than ever and the once king of the purebloods must accept her destiny and win it all. You can do it, playa.

That's exactly what i was thinking about...You understand my point of view now...But i can understand since Kaname lived a loooong period of time alone since he lost his last love-HW
But he needs to realize that Yuuki's there for him,Always
she already showed proof by erasing Zero's memories bout her only to stay with kaname,that's how much determinated she is
I also wish Isaya took his place so that Yuuki wouldn't have to suffer for eternity blaming herself and making zero miserable too.
There's 3 things that need to happen in the last chapter:
1-This love triangle have to end
2-Yuuki have to save Kaname so we can have a Happy Ending
3-Kaname needs to stay alive so the manga's won't turn out a big BULLSHIT FOR EVERYONE AND SHE CREATE HATERS ALL OVER THE WORLD!

I don't quite know what's going to happened in the final chapter because at first when i first started reading this manga but i hope that in some what way it doesn't make me end up crying in sadness.

But there are some questons that Hino still haven't answered in this series.

1) Who did Kaname mated with to start the Kuran line?
2) What conversation did Kanem and takuma had with each other after sara's death?
3) After the kiss kain gave ruka, how did she feel about it?

I need answers.

I think there are many ways the ending could go... but if the preview picture gives any real insight, my opinion on it is that maybe in the end, after the whole battle is finished and whatnot, the Night Class might leave the academy & Yuuki will stay. I don't think Hino would give away whether Kaname will live or not... that'd definitely be a big spoiler, but I do think she was hinting at the night class leaving & Kaname seems to be saying goodbye to Yuuki since she is off to the side in her day class uniform with Zero and Kaname is leaving with the night class, but has one arm extended towards Yuuki, in what looks to me like a farewell.

That's just my opinion on the preview picture though... If it has nothing to do with the story my theory is this -

1. Will Kaname end up throwing his heart into the furnace? I hope not, I would like him to decide on his own to stop and show some sign of regret for all that he has done to everyone. (without having to be saved) I'd like to see him try and make peace with the purebloods and apologize to all the people he's cause physical and emotional harm, but I don't think it will happen ^^; The way I see it, there are two scenarios, Yuuki & Zero will go to try and stop Kaname and succeed, but then Kaname will mention something like "How are we supposed to fight without weapons though, even Zero's weapon is falling apart." and I'm sure they'll come up with something... (or maybe try to make peace?^^;) >,< or Yuuki & Zero will try to stop Kaname and fail because it's what Kaname wants to do, and he is able to convince Yuuki to let him go. (Or there's a third (and another unlikely) option... they're too late & can't even hope to try and stop him! :O Dun dun dun...)

2. Was Isaya serious about postponing turning Yuuki human? Hard to say... he did let Yuuki go pretty easily when Zero took her. Zero had time to hang around and drink Yuuki's blood , but Isaya didn't have time to idk, use his pureblood strength to knock Zero to the ground finish turning Yuuki human? He could've "then" left her with Zero since he thinks she's so safe with him but really... he abandoned his important task from Kaname so easily... I think "the situation has changed... I'll postpone it" was an excuse and he just let her go. :/ Unless Isaya grabs Yuuki up before she runs off to try and save Kaname, I don't think there's time for it....

3. Where I believe the LT stands - Still in play, yume or zeki will either happen or they won't, but I'm a Zeki til the very end and no one can persuade me otherwise. I am goin down with this ship. ;) Zero's line still gives me hope. He's finally willing to act on his feelings ;) "Ichiru told me to live on and fulfill my goal. But I was afraid... All this time, I haven't faced my true feelings. But I won't hide behind excuses anymore. " ( give yourself a little credit Zero, you started to face your feelings... Insisting on protecting Yuuki & going with her no matter what when she left the academy, dancing with her... kissing her... It's not your fault she wouldn't let you protect her & erased your memories to protect you instead.:/)But anywho... Zero says he hasn't faced his true feelings, but now he's going to... and he starts by attempting to save Kaname's butt even though he hates him & he ruined his life. Kaname helping protect the academy & not wanting to make Yuuki cry again ( somehow Zero knows he made her cry before...? o.o) gives him a reason to live... or it should, but it wasn't enough... Kaname saw the Bloody Rose breaking and resolved that it was time to go... before there were no weapons left to fight with at all. And yes, I believe he tried to save Kaname's life for Yuuki.... but I don't think it means Zero gave Yuuki to Kaname, I think it means he won't let Kaname be one of those "excuses" he was talking about to not show his true feelings for Yuuki. He'll just have to deal with him & do what Yuuki would want, to save him, if he wants her to be happy. He said it himself, " and I don't want her to be sad either. That's why as much as I hate this, I can't let them take you."

Hmm...For me it looks like a normal day in cross Academy rather than a farewell.Specially since Kaname always says he can't live without Yuuki,so maybe if he dies? but otherwise I don't think so. ^-^;

The preview pic appears to be Yuuki's desire to create true peace between humans and vampires . By holding both Kaname's and Zero's hands . Who are supposed to be the representatives of both bands . With her as intermediary ( as she has experience being both human and vampire ) for both men to leave their mutual hate . Become allies . Learn to work together .

I don't see the use for a new furnace . Whoever pureblood who sacrifice himself for this , will suffer an eternal fate of loneliness and madness . The conflicts of purebloods / vampires and humans / hunters will continue as before .

There is the problem of even if someone did sacrifice himself to create the new furnace . There is not enough time to create new weapons before the pureblood side destroy all hunters / Night Class side . So the furnace solution is not as easy as it seems .

A possibility is Yuuki destroying the furnace to prevent anybody to perform the sacrifice .

About Isaya , I think his role now is simple . To be Yuuki's first "Grim Reaper Service " client . As Yuuki will be the only person with a working anti - vampire weapon ( I think this is because Artemis wasn't created with the same metal as HW's furnace and / or the weapon is using Yuuki's powers to function instead . ) She somehow will make purebloods to see there is no need for a new furnace . As there is no need for indiscriminate hunting of purebloods if they accept her terms . But she will help the purebloods who really want to die with her services .


I don't see how a Zeki end is viable now . Because Zero already concedes defeat . He now knows in his heart Yuuki's happiness is beside Kaname and not his . That what Ichiru means by saying : "Live ... and do what I cannot do / to fulfill your goal ! is in reality : " Live ... and do what I cannot do / to fulfill your goal ... To make the woman you love happy ! "

Also Zero recognizes he wants to protect Yuuki . But she doesn't want his protection anymore . Because now is the time for Yuuki to protect everybody , including Kaname . If she can't protect , she fails as heroine . If she fails , Kaname dies . If Kaname dies , she never be happy . Even if Zero becomes her shoulder to cry on . Because her guilt as not fulfilling her promises will overcome her will to live .


As I said long ago , the story end will be determined by Kaname dying or be saved by Yuuki . The story has confirmed my idea . If Yuuki success , Kaname lives and the end is Yume . If Yuuki fails and Kaname dies , the end is anything else . But as the story is suggesting , Yuuki will success and the final couple will be Yume .

Are you guys going to read the spoilers for this final chapter? I think I probably will sit it out until the English scanlation comes out...then I can either cry or celebrate with the after party xD

Well, i was going to try to avoid preview pictures for the last two chapters. . . I really didn't want anything important of the end spoiled >,< For Chapter 92 I got to the end of the day in the evening then I was like " I can't take this anymore... I have to look . . . The need to see new VK images.... is too strong..." xD But then someone told me about the Yuuki image that had been deleted. I was like nooo that's the worst spoiler ever, I don't want to see the last page of the chapter Dx T-T So, I'm conflicted.... I think I should try to avoid last chapter spoilers entirely but idk if I'll be able to xD

Especially for the last 2-3 chapters, I've been having those feelings lol

I just don't want to the final chapter to be ruined for me before I can read the whole chapter and really fully take it in.
- If bad ending: I would probably just want to read the whole chapter and b**** and moan about it.
- If good ending: I'd be so happy I would just want to read the whole chapter and celebrate.


LOL...So maybe I'll just wait this time around and keep checking when scanlation will be up!!!

I am 70% sure it will be a good ending though...Should I be more confident? Am I setting the bar too high? LOL, I'm not sure.

Btw, Is volume 18 the last volume? Since from the beginning every volume had 4 to 6 chapters I thought there is going to be a 19th volume. If not, volume 18 would have 10 chapters.
