Before i begin, i've noticed alot of disrespect going around here, it makes me worried if i should post or not. Reminder: We're the VK Fandom. We may support differents ships, but we're still fans of Vampire Knight and if it came down to VK going against another manga in a poll, wouldn't we all come to together? ^^ VK has a good fandom, we should encourage this to each other. For Yume ending, the two may just end up in the Kuran mansion & have tons of babies O_O
For Zeki ending...see i'm stuck. Wow, i'm really curious to know what a Zeki ending is. With a zeki ending, whatever Hino directs it to will become very unpredictable. Which is why my heart kinda twinge when i think of a Zeki ending because i don't know what to expect. I think it can kinda go both ways honestly
I'll just wait until its officially revealed on where Yuuki's feelings with Zero.

A workable ending for both Yume and Zeki is one of the reasons I'm more inclined for a Yume ending .

As you said , a workable Yume ending is not exactly the easiest . But a Zeki one is worst to develop . In reality the easiest ending for me to do if I was Hino is a Zero alone ending . Where Kaname dies at Yuuki hands . After redeeming himself . Yuuki sacrifices herself to turn Zero human . Zero learns vampires could live with humans in harmony . Zero become the next Cross succesor . Ect. The story since the start of the second arc is suggesting this ending as a viable one. The perfect tragic ending . The main concern if I was Hino to try to pull this ; is not if she could match with the rest of the plot . But readers response . I'm not sure if Hino would like to make readers angry and left reading her future works .

In a Yume end ; Hino has to redeem Kaname . Show his actions can be justified . The way the plot is going , this is very viable to get at the end . As the plot has given so far . Kaname has lied a lot about his motivations and actions . Making him pass as worse as he is .

At the same time , Yuuki has to learn Kaname's actions were for the greater good . A good way to see Yuuki returns to Kaname is because she continues to trust him . Even after all those crazy stuff he told and shown her .

A very important issue with Yume will be the resolution of Yuuki considering herself unequal to Kaname . This issue is starting to resolve in the last chapters . So I see this as a good signal for Yume ending .

How I see is Kaname will try to make Yuuki kill him . But Yuuki chosing to save him . Kaname leaving Yuuki as he say he doesn't deserve her love ; but Zero . Yuuki discovering Zero is not her real romantic choice ; but Kaname's . Yuuki going after Kaname and confessing her true feelings . Ect . ( Very short version . )

With Zeki , the problem is more intrinsic . Here is not only a couple who had conflicts between themselves and try to resolve them . There are other factors .

For example : a very important main theme of Zero is his fear of losing his humanity . For Zero to accept himself as a true vampire is very difficult . For him to accept himself in love with a pureblood vampire is worse . Zero is making baby steps to accept vampires can live in harmony with humans . As most probably chapter 83 will show . The problem is he is too far to embrace his vampire self . A difficulty I see here is ; he is really in risk to fall to Level E . So Zero couldn't accept himself as vampire with that risk over his shoulders . If Hino wants to end Zero as a happy vampire . She will requires a very good explanation here to justify this . Or end him as human . So the fear of humanity is resolved .

A related issue is the life span of both Zero and Yuuki . The story has stated eternity is hard to tolerate . But harder if you are alone . What this insinuates is in the case of a Zeki ending . With Zero and Yuuki as they are now . There is a very huge risk for Yuuki ending alone for eternity . After Zero has died . Yuuki loved for a X - period of time , therm alone forever . Maybe a ending where insinuates Yuuki killing hersef after being left alone by Zero's death is the natural end here . Could work ; but not the best way to justify a Zeki ending .

Another way to resolve the life span issue , could be making Zeki with both as humans . But not sure how this could resolve the coexistance theme of V. K.

Note : There is no way to end V. K. with a Zeki ending with Yuuki as human and Zero as vampire . This will not work at all . As Zero will end kill Yuuki . Because of his lust for her blood and need to drink her love feelings for him . Eventually killing her .

Another problem with Zeki is the need to kill Kaname for happening Zeki ending . In reality not exactly to kill Kaname . As this could be very easy to explain . But the consequences of his death . Because as the plot is for now . To make Kaname dying is easy . The problem is the only person Kaname will allow to kill him is Yuuki . To justify Yuuki killing him without any guilt of her part . Then willingly going happy to Zero's arms will be very difficult to pull .

Even a worse problem will be to justify Yuuki as a two timer in a shojo manga . After all those scenes Yuuki saying she loves Kaname . Calling him " Her Kaname " . Even insinuating she had sex with Kaname in the past . To make Yuuki jump to Zero and forget Kaname will be a little complex to explain to readers.


For now I left here . There are more things I could say about both Yume and Zeki . But I'm tired for now .

A Zeki ending could be pulled . But I'm glad I'm not Hino to make a acceptable Zeki ending . For me will be very difficult a Zeki end as the plot's direction is headed .

That exactly what I'm afraid of...A Tragic Ending However it is was to be Tragic Hino would lose some fans.

But ZeKi CAN be resolved IMO. They just need to overcome the obstacles and figure out what they want. IMO I think that Zero can no longer fall to Level E. He has HEAPS of Pureblood Blood inside him for it to happen. Kanames, Sara's, Fragments of Rido and Shizuka, Ichiru and Yuki...Imagine the power... 0.0 I think that Zero's life span would increase due to having so much powerful Pureblood Blood.

Zero is starting to accept vampires, and what happened with Ruka would probably make him change, make him question himself, "Are not all vampires evil? Is there still hope?" So IMO Zero is developing in that sense. And to be honest Zero hasn't been that bad against Purebloods lately. He's only really enraged at Kaname. I mean who wouldn't be pissed at the person who destroyed you life? He's obviously his "own" master now and not going to side with Sara. He's using Sara for answers about his past and Kaname's actions and intentions IMO.

So, really, ZeKi is possibly. Hino even stated this is going to have a "serious twist". And what she had said here "If you want to hurry, go slow" It doesn't exactly fit with YuMe because YuMe was just "there" on the first page.

Love between a guy in Shojo Manga is using developed from the first page and through a number of chapters before it is turned into love, it's not just "there" in the beginning.

Take "Dengeki Daisy" Manga as an example. Teru admired Daisy from the beginning, the guy who she texted on her mobile for advice and help. She never knew him, but she admired him for helping her through the good and bad since her brother had died. At her school she meets a guy however, who she hates at first but, after about 8 chapters, she starts to feel something more. But what she doesn't know is that "Daisy" the guy who she texts, is that very guy she is in love with.

So basically what I'm trying to imply is that there is a BIG difference between "Liking" and "Loving" somebody. You can admire someone for their looks, their personality, and them being friendly, but its just "Physical Attraction" IMO. However being in LOVE is entirely different. It is knowing the person, understanding them, and well, hehe I don't know much about love because I'm stilll young, however I've watched lots of romance movies and, to me, "Love is a Friendship on Fire". And YuMe for me just isn't a friendship, its "Physical Attraction". IMO

ZeKi is developing slowly as romantic IMO. They just need to resolve their problems and make their decisions. YuMe and ZeKi both have an equal chance of becoming endgame however they need to resolve their problems...

M...Logically Sassy there is a problem with the friendship issue...

because once a guy falls into the "friendship" loop it very difficult to get out of there...that's why (lol) the guys in general that are interested in a romantic relationship shall try from the start not to fall in there...they want physical attraction to occur...because that's where romance starts...and the romance does not prevent anyone from "loving" and "bonding", this is actually the beginning of the way you choose a mate, its the history of love that happens everyday. Attraction///falling in love...bonding...loving...sharing a life...having babies ect.

friendship however is a "tough" situation, normally from the point that you are seeing someone as "friend" this means that consciously you are making this choice because there is NO attraction involved between you two - attraction is natural once it happens you know it- therefore you are actually making the "friendship" choice because there is no attraction that can complicate things... and once you make that choice and you know he is your friend that means that you love and trust him but the space is again open for your potential mate and partner in love to come...

do not intimidate "attraction" is the beginning of every couple...and Kaname and Yuuki have long ago passed that phase...they are in love and they were bonding to each other as all couples do...before Kaname decided to depart...

Zeki has not moved from the "friendship" box, meaning its a lot of steps behind...attraction needs to be mutual that this where Hino halts...Zero i think has it...he is physically attracted - after all he confessed but Yuuki has her attention elsewhere, chapter by chapter there is no twist or transition for Zero from the friendship box at at least the necessary "attraction" stage in order for romance to evolve...

therefore if Hino just jumps from the "friendship" to the "mutual" romance...naturally there shall be a hole there because this is not how romance works...and all of these kind of scripts that develop friendship into suddenly something higher out of the blue are unrealistic and do not persuade...but i do not think that Hino does not know that...

I don't wanna make war or anything like that, but like you (Yume's fan) believe in only one couple: Kaname and Yuuki and don't accept that Yuuki's heart in part is linked with Zero, you should consider that Kaname's heart is also divided in two parts: one to Yuuki, and another one to the Hooded Woman...!!!

I mean, Yuuki was still shy when Kaname changed her clothes, saying he did it before but that might've been when they were children(As a big brother changes his little sisters clothes for her. And when you mean in the past you're not talking about 6 year old Yuuki having sex with 8/9 year old Kaname right because they surely didn't have sex in Cross Academy.
No matter how sexy Yume steamy moments are, i still kinda think Yuuki is a virgin. I also think she is a allusion to Artemis in greek mythology (The goddess of the moon, Chasity/ virginity, and the huntress)

she left us millennium ago...there are a lot of ways to interpret feelings but I think that Kaname loved her a being (not the erotic though kind of form) but even if he did once...he has says multiple times that Yuuki is the one and that no one can not be replaced. What he lived...he lived...if he deposits a tax of honor with his thought to this woman that as a man generally lifts him even higher...for he appreciates everything...for me is a good sing in him; making his devotion to the ones that he cared about deeper and far more true than we could imagine.

A memory though is not the reason that he fought for and did everything that he did up to here; Yuuki is and as a man we know that he loves and cares for her, in a way he did not care for any other...

That is true, however couldn't it be because she first saw Kaname's memories/feelings & then after she went into the H.A. If it wasn't because of Kaname's memories, how would she know who it is? I mean, she may be able to feel/smell/see a scent, but didn't Yuuki identify it as the HW in the chapter?

No; the vampires aren’t linked with the HW and neither the rest of the PBs.
Yuuki and Kaname or the Kurans if you like is a different story cuz are the only PBs who can wield anti-vampires weapons.

Personally I would have no problem to admit Kaname’s feelings for the HW in the past even if these feelings were romantic cuz either way she would have been his past and prior he meets Yuuki.

However what I believe is that their relationship wasn’t exactly romantic.

For one the HW treated Kaname more motherly/sisterly rather than a lover >>

She was a woman of great importance for him as also Yuuki felt however as Kaname said when a small attachment was born inside him she sacrificed herself. And she sacrificed herself in Kaname’s place. This alone creates many kinds of feelings but a small attachment is a small attachment and not a great deep romantic love.

In my opinion Kaname didn’t catch to fall in love with her BUT as the whole passage betrays she managed to open his heart … she showed him love, care and companionship something that Kaname had refused for himself.

Here the passage that I’m talking about from the official volume 13 >>

Yuuki’s thoughts through Kaname:

He’s concerned about her well being … she means a great deal to him…

I can feel the emotions running through Kaname right now >>

No longer feeling guilty about living on after sad partings…

No longer feeling he must remain alone forever…

This woman is the one who made him feel all this.

So Yuuki explains thoroughly what she means (i.e. what she perceives through Kaname) with the line “she means a great deal to him”.

In my opinion this is a hint that Kaname at some point after HW’s death and after the big battle he met the woman with who he started the Kuran clan because the HW made him believe that she mustn’t remain alone forever.

So in short … yes the HW was an important person into his life … she literally saved his life and she gave him something to hope for the future. But she isn’t THE woman of his life << that woman is Yuuki.

As for his claim that he is fulfilling her wish; this is something that it doesn’t tie-up by no means with the rest of the story >>

1. As many hints shown Kaname after the big battle became the king of vampires and the war stopped. This means that he also stopped from killing PBs i.e. he chose not to fulfill HW’s will.

2. For some reason at some point he decided to go in slumber leaving again the PBs to go on living i.e. again he didn’t choose to fulfill HW’s will.

So the logical question that arises is; why not back then? Why not fulfilling her will in the past IF her will had so much importance for him? Why he chose slumber? Moreover a slumber that he had no intention to wake from; in other words … he chose to never fulfill her wish.
Thus now we should believe that suddenly remembered HER wish and abandons Yuuki the only happiness into his gray life; his beloved girl with which he wanted to spend eternity together; in order to fulfill the wish of a dead woman?

This simply doesn’t fly …

3. It’s more than evident by now that Kaname does and says whatever he can in order to push Yuuki away from him, making her to give up. So in this frame he also blurts out to Yuuki that he is fulfilling “HER” wish in his attempt to crush Yuuki’s feelings and hopes. But he also told her to consider him as a mad man
So isn’t apparent that he lies? He might killing PBs BUT the reason he is doing it ain’t HW’s wish but something else … something that is related to Yuuki.

Kaname: "come to think of it, it was too long a journey, MY HEART HAD BEEN EXHAUSTED from long ago. I decided to enter a slumber I had NO INTENTION of ever waking up.

Exactly as Nina supported the answer to any wish that the ancestor had was Kaname's long and with no return slumber.

This reference does not only exists to indicate what Kaname was doing sleeping in that coffin but if we see it now, under the current course of events and revelations, it seals Kaname's past...placing a strong barrier between attachments of the past and present actions> thus even if Kaname uses the plans/wishes of that woman in the present, we can not recall her to be the reason because he stopped in the past/he perceived that his task had exhausted him.

Her plan had no reward/no meaning for Kaname to carry on with it...he had not a scope with it....

When does this scope come in? Here are the lines...

Kaname: "In my childish mind I felt that I had seen those eyes somewhere before and then for SOME REASON I thought this time I want to keep protecting this warmth".

It is with Yuuki's birth that he has a reason and a scope...She is the reason and to " protect" is the scope...

From the official volume 8:

Kaname: Maybe I've just been reveling in these happy times and avoiding it!!...but I've made up my mind I will prepare a place where you won't have to live in fear

Kaname, chapter 67..."There were somethings I was thinking of doing about which I had already made a decision....However , once it came time some kind of hesitation was born within me...and little by little this uncertainty became stronger...."

" I am done hesitating, I made my choice only once to stay with you. I am going to fulfill my original plans. I am sorry"

I think the relevance, the similarity in the sayings of Kaname when he is eight and at the present time is as obvious as i colored and highlighted them. Both cases are so similar and obvious that someone has to be in a denial phase not to see that exactly the way he behaved when Yuuki was a toddler (delving in happiness and hesitating but already having a plan in his mind to secure her) is exactly the same with the way that he behaved now.

Also notice..When Kaname is alarmed when he is young? When the danger is out of the door....

Same old story...different enemy...more complications...reason of course the same..

Nina and Juliet... excellent work! Kaname always loves Yuuki. And I hope that one day that Yuuki will become his Knight. They truly deserve their happy ending.

yes they do deserve happy ending and if they don't get it then i will be so sad,they have been through so much,they should end together.

After the last chapter, Yuuki really annoying me. How can she said something like that? So imature. If she still want to be with Kaname then why she won't give up with Zero? Really she need to wake up and realize that Zero is the one she should love not Kaname ah...

first yuuki never clinged on zero.when yuuki went off with kaname she remained loyal to him and didn't met zero by herself,it were situations like ball made them meet.when kaname left her she didn't ran to zero but to kaname to know the answers.it was cross who took her to ha where she started night class.currently yuuki is working with zero as an ally but now when he is siding with sara i don't know for how long zero is gonna be yuuki's side.ofcourse she was jealous when maria expressed her feelings,he was her best friend for all these years and she spent her childhood with him,she cares for him but that don't mean that she loves him in a passionate way.she even comforted aido when his father died by grabbing his head towards her that don't mean she loves him.it is what yuuki is.she loves everybody and cares for everyone.she loves romantically her kaname and only kaname.she is in love with kaname and she loves others.she wants happiness for others.thats why she wants to stop kaname to maintain peace.
