Zeki or Yume?

If you like Zero or Kaname then I guess you are either Zeki or Yume. Which one do you prefer to see and why?

i am a zeki fan all the way yuki and zero should be together their relationship has so much drama

I think fans are being too picky or extremist and purist, not to mention bias, when they are "grossing" out over two FAKE siblings, only blood related VAMPIRE couple, AND in a fiction manga, or being too overdramatic in trying to "relate" themselves to that couple. even if its to say they are related by blood and Kaname might be the greatgreat grandfather, what kind of grandfather is that HANDSOME or young? really, but if one tried hard enough and use their overactive imagination that even reads and sees something between the lines, they will imagine Kaname has graying hair, wrinkles, spots on his face, and is gnarly old enough to suit the word "eeew gross relationship!" yes, the grandfather-granddaughter relationship becomes more clear.

Kaname as an old man... if I see him as a "grandfather" I would think someone's exaggerating a joke. when technically its just his soul that's old, and his body is that of a 19 year old. but ofc everything becomes possible if push comes to shove.

im a Zeki fan all the way i know kaname loves her and all but then again zeros been there for her in hard times and i feel he loves her just as much............ but id rather have Zero for myself lol

I'm Yume fan but I have to admitt that my heart began to beating faster when I saw in 75 chapter Zero touchs Yuuki's head like before. I was exating althought I would prefer to see Yuuki with Kaname's arms

Zeki: Yuuki smiles at Zero more, its as simple as that for me.

Divine Rose and Sweetsolace: don't worry, at least as far as myself, I don't think the age difference between Yuuki and Kaname is a problem for me. Besides, I thought ladies usually like older men anyway.

Well things are complicated at the moment, although they're starting to look better:) but i believe that with the old yuuki she was able to just be herself more around Zero. I've glimpsed the old yuuki a couple times in recent chapters and i hope that she begins to act like herself again soon ^^ Yuuki's not able to be herself around zero right now because of all that's happened, but they still care for each other and that's something ^^

And I can;t really imagine Zero as a....Loner xD LOL He wouldnt be able to fall for anyone else...Well thats just how I see it...And Kaname is just....Scary. Here what I HOPE will happen in the end:

I hate to tell you the truth, Saffron... but you're completely wrong about it. You see, Kaname didn't use Zero as a pawn to get to Yuuki (and as a matter of fact, Kaname & Yuuki are engaged pureblood vampires). The truth is he had chosen Zero to kill Yuuki's evil uncle Rido (Kaname's master). Furthermore, Kaname isn't as scary as Rido so please do not confuse Kaname with Rido OK? And I hate to tell you this but... Ruka is already taken with Kain.

Then Kaname would be gone and Yuki would EVENTUALLY forget about him and go with Zero. Then it would be a nice happy ending with her and Zero...Well...IDK I just want Yuki to be with Zero... Im sortof pissed of with Zero though....He should talk some sense into Yuki and at least tell her that he LOVES HER....Then maybe she'll change....Its possible that Yori might go with Zero...But they havent really been talking much, and I cant really see Zero being with ANYBODY else except the TRUE girl that he loves....YUKI <3

Caela, you should know that "...Kaname is just....Scary" isn't considered an opinion at all, but it's simply called character bashing. The rules state that you're not allowed to bash a character that you truly hate and Saffron (a newbie) isn't allowed to bash characters. And do not attempt to tell me that you're defending that newest member either.

Saffron... you should know that you shouldn't underestimate Hino's character. Kaname may be the most powerful pureblood vampire, but he's trying to create a peaceful world for Yuuki (HIS FIANCEE) to walk freely from danger.

You should look at characters who freaks you out the most like Sara. You should know that she wants to become queen and make the humans suffer. In a brief conclusion-- Sara wants vampire domination, Kaname wants peace on earth... simple as that.

Personally, I don't think Yuuki would ever go out with Zero after Kaname ends his life. If her fiance is gone, her heart will shatter into a thousand pieces and end her life. In fact, Kaname & Yuuki have been together from the very beginning. They share their good and bad times together... and some humor... along with their parents (married pureblood siblings Haruka & Juuri). They were separated after Rido brutally murdered Haruka while Haruka's wife Juuri had to sacrifices her life by sealing Yuuki's powers, erases her memories, and turned into a powerless human being. Kaname was in despair for the past 10 years since Yuuki had no memory. The only thing that his fiancee remembers on that snowy day that he saved her from a bad vampire.

After numerous bites from the Level-D vampire/vampire hunter (childhood friend and foster sibling) Zero, Yuuki loses control. Kaname have decided to break the seal from his fiancee and shares his blood to turn her back into a pureblood vampire. If Yuuki continues to stay human, the fangs inside her would have devoured her and loses control completely and loses sanity. 6 months later, Yuuki have decided to tell him that she accepts her own path-- her true nature. There's a huge possibility that Yuuki will stop Kaname from ending his fate and instead fight for their love against the one pureblood vampire who've used the blood tablets on vampires and create an army to attack the humans.

I understand that you're disappointed about Zero since he have pulled the gun on Kaname's fiancee. The hunter needs to apologize to her before his life ends. Can't blame Zero because Shizuka (a pureblood vowing vengeance) had murdered his parents, devouring his twin brother Ichiru, and pointing his gun on Yuuki three times.

There's also a possibility that Zero may end up with Maria. But we'll just wait and find out. As of right now, Sara could be winning the war before it's begun.

Apparently, the only chance for zeki to happen is for kaname to die and yuuki to be a human.
in different circumstances, zeki, as a romantic pair, has no chance.

Doesn't matter if Zero is a vampire, the vampires wouldn't listen to him. Co-existence would be thrown out the window if this ever happened.

Also, it's too dangerous to turn Yuuki back to being a human. Everybody knows she's a PB, and with her as a human, that would be the perfect opportunity to kill her.

And to be quite honest, I really don't see a ZeroxYuuki ending. And if it was a prefect ending, Yuuki would have become a double-edged sword... in other words (after Zero continues drinking Yuuki's blood), she would have lost her sanity with no chance of turning back to her normal self.

Yuuki will remain a pureblood vampire and fulfill her duty as a Kuran and prevent Kaname from ending his fate. Although they're #3 in the top 50 manga/anime couples (according to an Asian forum), they're still #1 in my books.

That is very true. If Yuuki does turn human and it does have a Zeki ending, Yuuki will just turn back into a PB with Zero drinking her blood. She would have to stay away from Zero to stay human, cause I doubt he could resist from ever biting her.

Yeah, I don't see the Zero/Yuuki ending at all either. And with all of this into consideration, it doesn't look possible logically at all.

Yes, they are my number #1 canon couple too.

I'd like to correct you on one very important statement you made. Kaname did not use Zero to get Yuuki.
1) Yuuki was already in love with Kaname before Zero came along.
2) Kaname had Zero as a Knight to protect Yuuki, nothing more, nothing less.
3) If he wanted to 'get yuuki' as you say no guy or girl would let the competition get close to the person of their affection.

If yuuki did choose zero, due to kaname being dead, then that makes a default ending, and i honestly dont see how any zeki fan could be happy with that if she is choosing Zero EVENTUALLY, because kaname is dead and he is the only option for some happiness. If i was a zeki fan i would want yuuki to choose zero over kaname, because she loves him more and wants to be with him, not because he is the only option. Also that would just prove how yuuki loves kaname more than zero if she only goes with him due to kaname being dead.

I'd like to add on this point KuranPrince and say that making yuuki back into a human means there could be a chance of her going mad again, and her vampire side breaking through. Also as a human she'd be in more danger as the Vampire society know of her exitance now, she wont be able to esacape from her linerage. Yuuki becoming human is a step back and brings more danger to her than solves problems unless all vampires didnt exist(which i dont see happening).

If yuuki did choose zero, due to kaname being dead, then that makes a default ending, and i honestly dont see how any zeki fan could be happy with that if she is choosing Zero EVENTUALLY, because kaname is dead and he is the only option for some happiness. If i was a zeki fan i would want yuuki to choose zero over kaname, because she loves him more and wants to be with him, not because he is the only option. Also that would just prove how yuuki loves kaname more than zero if she only goes with him due to kaname being dead.

I'd like to add on this point KuranPrince and say that making yuuki back into a human means there could be a chance of her going mad again, and her vampire side breaking through. Also as a human she'd be in more danger as the Vampire society know of her exitance now, she wont be able to esacape from her linerage. Yuuki becoming human is a step back and brings more danger to her than solves problems unless all vampires didnt exist(which i dont see happening).

But I really think Yuki (Pureblood Vampire) and Zero (Vampire and Vampire Hunter) Is MUCH more interesting than PB and PB. With Zero and Yuki there is alot more drama and suspense. But with Yuki and Kaname, there is some danger, but it probably would be very lovey-dovey.

BTW Sorry about bashing Kaname....I didn't really mean it that way, I AM a new member though. And I hope Sara is killed by Kaname But...Its just so hard to predict! Matsuri Hino likes to keep us in the dark alot

more drama and suspense but thats it. Logic wise they fail in many areas as a couple.
Class: pureblood- immortal, level d-not immortal
if zero is a level d he will forever drink from yuki which doesnt make it equally balanced
zero is also overly indebted to yuki, he will always want to repay her, which may be mistaken as love
yuki will not grow as a person if she's with zero since they just keep "supporting" each other, she'll "always be herself" with him which is being the idiotic naive Yuki, there's no challenge in wanting to develop for the other person, yuki will be stunted as she is, while with kaname she is challenged to prove herself and be his equal.
yuki does not love zero as much and the way she is attached to kaname will eternally bound him to him. she treats him more like a brother and does so until now.
zero has to overcome his hate fully before he can accept yuki and before he can even begin to love her. his love is conditional and has terms that must be met for it to happen.
zero is a hunter that has a built in instinct to hate vampires including yuki which means even if he has accepted her he will eventually hate her every now and then.
zero is immature and yuki is also immature, its a childish fantasy pairing circling around each other on a common need, they both need someone mature to make them grow up.
its based on need to survive, not need to love.
its based on taboos and forbidden acts, not rational.
another thing, the manga keeps emphasizing that purebloods can only be with purebloods, and the fate of level e's is to die. for zeki to happen it must defy the entire manga, and thats where FANFICTION comes in. or if another zeki fan becomes a mangaka she will probably recreate zeki love story in its own time where the conditions are not ALL against them.
yuki had accepted her fate as pureblood, while zero stayed with it. nothing has changed, their fate as incompatible is sealed, they're like incompatible blood types that if you mix them together that person will suffer and die, however "happy" they are .


Yuki does not even say she loves Zero, so how can they be considered a couple in the first place?

Sorry, but the Vampire Knight Wiki isn't a very reliable source. Kaname have never said that he no longer cares for Yuuki. We all know that he loves Yuuki and he'll do anything to make their world a more peaceful and harmonious place for both races. If you want a more reliable source than VK Wiki, I strongly suggest you to buy the English translated Vampire Knight volume sets from Shojo Beat.

Don't get mad just because Kaname & Yuuki Kuran are #3 in the top 50 manga couples and Zero Kiryuu & Yuuki Cross are not on the list, OK? Get over it and move on. Oh... and one last thing--
