I have no idea what is going on with Kaname’s memories. In that scene Ai’s first line is “Now that your memories have returned, allow me to introduce you to my brother.”
What memories? He does not remember a thing since he can not remember that the young lady at his flashback and the mother of his kids is the same person…
He actually thinks that he might meet her! How?
Haha…this is hilarious of Hino (sometimes I think she wants to write parody but having promised another genre she is hiding it in the script).
OR she just wanted to pass the message that despite Kaname does not remember a thing, he is instinctively drawn to Yuuki’s existence, even though she is a stranger for him in his memories, like a destiny thing (but she does that lousy, making it seem strange and weird).
i agree, i am confused as to why Hino is heading in this direction. how can this be possible? if he is really thinking that he'll see her again...well in the original story he did (he meets her later on), so it's like he is just remembering that...poor guy. don't want to know when he finds out
that's a probability that she is exploiting the fact that Yuuki is destiny to him, but it's rather a lousy tragic thing that would be better left unsaid.
juliet wrote:And a third explanation he does not have his full memories yet, a part of it yes (perhaps starting from the start of his existence), so eventually he is going to remember Yuuki or does Hino intend to leave him with half of his memories for the rest of his human life?
Not that we ever going to get answers to all of these it's just funny how Hino recycles things over and over again without deciding to put an end to this turmoil. Oh we got it, he loved her; what's next?
Perhaps Ai could find him a girl to fix his life again like she had insisted with her mother?
the way she is going at it, i think Kaname will hunt down the answer, and so he will know what needs to be known about Yuuki.
that's a cute idea. i think Ai would enjoy that
juliet wrote:Overall it was a nice chapter though.
Zero and Yuuki are coming together…Ai’s reason for wanting a baby sister hilarious. She is so bold and spontaneous, she is pure joy, specially now that Yuuki’s character crashed under all of these has settled down.
i agree. there was plenty of fun moments, and i loved the scenes with Ruka and Kain
juliet wrote:But she also has things from her father like that fatalistic view “going to slumber after losing a love”. Oh please…
Why is Hino’s throwing in there that line about her one love? Does she want to fish reactions for a continuation or Ai’s spin off? I found it a bit fishy. What is your opinion?
you said it! i found those moments quite childish actually, like someone idolizing an important person and quoting without even taking in what they are saying...which is ridiculous a bit as Yuuki told Zero that she could teach her nothing (she was already so smart) still doesn't mean you're smart academically and in life of course so perhaps...
well i believe her one love issue is dropped...
"A: This is goodbye forever…to my first love.
A: From here on out…I just have to wait a little while longer. No…
A: If I go into a deep slumber, maybe I won’t even have to wait as long."
whether or not she goes into slumber i'm not sure, but i doubt. it seems she is well acquainted with her brother (which i find ironic that he does look like Zero
she know Zero is a lost cause and that as he is not a pb, he will pass eventually.
she seems to partake in the attitude of Kaname as a pb. serious almost sad eyes or something....she recalls me of him, so i wonder if she even has a love at all
