Any new news on a vampire knight season 3?

Any updates as to whether there will be a new season

Apparently its already been released in japan? or its due to be released on the 5th of june

Ι have not heard anything, were did you get that info?

I heard nothing about a season 3. I am pretty sure season 3 isn't released in Japan. if it would had been we would had known - it would had been all over internet.

i havnt heard anything...although their are rumors that they've been discussing wether or not to have a season 3 do to the fact of season 2s popularity

So idea I hope they do release one. I love the manga but I'd like to watch the anime.

Ι have run to a lot of faked youtube videos that were posted advertising such an event so I do not believe the, anymore; but wouldn't the news come from the source? like Lala or being promoted through a special news release from the production company in Japan?

I'm hoping there maybe be one, perhaps when the Manga ends. Speaking of which are we in or nearing the final 'arc'. Is dealing with Kaname and Sara and perhaps who this other villian the finale for VK?

Personally, I don't think there will ever be a third season. The screenwriters didn't even mention or adding Sara's character during the second season and not adding kiss scenes (Yuuki kissing Kaname and Zero kisses Yuuki) in episodes 10 and 13 of Guilty.

Yes but the ending was an 'open' ending in a way, it still has potential for Sara to be introduced, it did show Rima and Senri going to go find Takuma. Although it didnt show the kiss between Zero and Yuuki the same future story lines can follow if there was to be a season 3 of VK. Theres still the potential for Kaname and Yuukis part as well. Oh well. I guess we'll just have to eait to see if there will be a new season

I think too that the anime damages too much already! They forgot important things or just changed them (maybe they did it because they thought it would be interessting for the ones who read the manga too, but well, no good idea)...I don´t want a third season, the maga is way better ;) (well the only reason why I would want a third season is because of the soundtrack who was relly nice ;) )

please don´t listen to those false rumors, they´ll onla make you sad

Very True, the anime did leave out some parts which really mad me mad ...
though everyone says the anime is not that good, in my opinion I really enjoyed it. Like every one else is saying, im pretty sure that a season 3 is just rumors as of right now but I will not lose hope! Please I want a season 3!!

Looks like we're on the same boat here!! Hopefully once the mangas over they they could at least address these rumors and tell us whether or not there will be a VK3 but im still quite happy with manga

Haha honestly im just happy that they are continuing the story.. But! Like i said before, im an all out anime lover so hopefully they will adress us like you said!

I heard from a reliable resource that the Vampire Knight anime wasn't very popular in Japan, so a season 3 is highly unlikely. As of yet, no....there has been no official news. Keep checking on AnimeNewsNetwork if you want a reliable source, also there would be an official preview for it... i remember the one for the 2nd season. I could tell that it was legitimate, so far i've seen a bunch of ridiculous fanmade AMVs being passed off as a season 3 trailer.

Haha yeah seeing alot of fanmade videos and fan dubbing just kills the whole purpose of it haha.

If you look at VK compared from now to back then it has grown in popularity. I think it may have been because there wasnt enough of the manga for there to be a third season. Oh well. As said before hopefully they can at least announce whether or not they will continue the series. I personally dont think they damanged season 2 that much that it cant be brought back and follow the manga more closely.

Agree. The original story was too much altereted.

1. in anime they didn't add the kiss yuuki initiated
2. in anime they didn't add zero's kiss
3. in anime yuuki drank zero's blood before departing - not happened in manga
4. zero and yuuki didn't parted in good ways in manga, but in good ways in anime. Also a major difference when they parted ways in anime is:

Zero: Next time I will kill.
Yuuki: I would wait for you.

While in the manga yuuki said I would run away from you.

5. in anime zero accepted yuuki as a vampire, while in manga didn't.

6. in anime yuuki was turned into a weakling girl in the battle with rido. in manga she was brave and fought on.

If a third season would be made how they would explain yuuki's pain to be seen by zero as an enemy?

The anime is too damaged.

The main problem about the differences between the anime and the manga was Hino - sensei left to collaborate with the anime team for reasons I don't know . Maybe because they wanted to made some changes she don't .

Hino left around chapter 9 of Guilty . Or the equivalent of chapter 39 of volume 9 . She did make some comment about in a side note of chap. 39 , volume 9 . But she appears to have left the anime team with a lot of clues and general information about the rest of the first arc . It could be worse if the anime ended with Yuuki deciding leaving Kaname and chosing Zero I guess . Not exactly easy to fix .

If Hino did aprove of a third season . Maybe now there is enough material for it .I suppose the third season material could be from chapter 49 ( Bad , but chapter 48 maybe has to be skip or add some details from it later to make the anime plot a little more logical . ) to chapter 70 . This means from the moment Yuuki and Kaname return to the Kuran Manor until the time the return of the Night Class was accepted by the aristocrats .

In reality , if a third season would ever be done . It would not be so difficult to fix the things done at the end of Guilty . Sara will be easy to introduce . They only need to explain Takuma was rescued ? by her after he killed his grandfather . Even if the Vampire Senate was killed in a funny way in the anime . That would not change a lot the plot .

The main problem in reality could be explaining Rido is alive . And how Kaname had the power to kill Rido ( in collaboration with Zero at the anime ) . As the manga did make clear Kaname can't kill Rido because of their bond .

The other inconvenience could be the scene where Yuuki bitten Zero in the anime . Instead of the opposite in the manga . Even if the outcome was similar as Yuuki said to Zero she chosen Kaname and not him .

I heard that Hino had a fallen out with Studio Deen over the storyline for Vampire Knight Guilty.

Sadly I doubt that we'll get a third season. Vampire Knight had 26 episodes and that's the same number of episodes that a lot of anime gets.

Maybe in a few years when the manga's close to ending we might get a second anime that's closer to the manga(like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood), but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

i've heard that season 3 has been labeled as "vampire knight destiny" and is suppose to come out somtime around christmas (2012)
course, it may only be another false lead, but who knows?

i know the manga is tons better, it's pretty much always like that, but i still would like to see it all in anime! (so long as they don't ruin it)

unfortunately, i can't really state my opinion on the anime, as i've only seen the 1st 3 from season one as of now....

"Vampire Knight Destiny" . . . Yes... that's the fake name the psycho rumour spreaders who drive me mad have given to this fictional "season 3" that was supposably supposed to come out last year. They also call it "Vampire Knight Eternity". I heard 3 different dates from people... someone said " Oh, my friend in Japan said it's already out" or " It's going to be out in October 2011 for sure" Before that it was supposed to be out in February 2011, and someone even got specific and said March 5 2011... I wouldn't get your hopes up on it coming out in december.... since the exact same rumours were floating around last year. Heck, I think they were even around since after Vampire Knight ended in 2008. It's been over 4 years... when are people going to give up and just give the manga a chance...>.> I'm happy for the continuation of the manga, and it annoys me when people spread these massive rumours about animes getting a new season when it had a clear end, and a perfectly good continuing manga if you want more.... And then to top it off, the fans expect the anime companies to dispel the internet rumors that the selfish fans create... That's not their job, the fans got themselves hyped up, and if others are gullible enough to believe them, that's their own fault. If there is going to be a new season, it will be announced officially.... but I wouldn't rely on the anime creators to tell you whether it is or isn't, since they probably haven't even given it a thought. Sorry, Saphira, this wasn't all aimed at just you, i'm just discussing the topic in general based on what all i've read here and seen elsewhere ^^;
