it doesn´t need to mean, that they are a couple now...Kain kissed Ruka to safe her but Ruka didn´t kissed Kain...I think they need to talk right now but maybe Ruka saw how much kain cares for her and starts feeling in a romantic way for Kain too...so maybe they will get a couple but they aren´t a couple yet, at first they need to decide

As the way the poll is made . I had to answer NO .
But this is my long answer :
Ruka and Kain are not a couple yet . Because even if Kain has loved Ruka all his life . He had not get a response from Ruka about his romantic feelings for her . So until Ruka doesn't reciprocated him . Accepting Kain as her lover . They will not be a real couple .
But after the events of chapter 83 . Ruka did had to notice Kain love for her was real . Also Kaname made her clear he is not the one for her . As he told her to be out of his life for good . So Ruka has to notice in a few chapters that the one for her is Kain . Discovering she can accept to learn to love him . Eventually falling for Kain for real .
So my short answer here is :Ruka and Akatsuki are not a couple yet . But they will end as a romantic couple before the end of V. K. .

rukain is such a potential couple,this couple is in league of yume in hotness but still somehow i feel that ruka has deep love for kaname,even letting him abandon her so that yuuki can stop him from destroying himself.ruka never showed such passion for kain,now if she suddenly develops it,it will look really odd.so i hope hino will show their love developing.because suddenly ruka saying i love you to kain will be very unreal to read.
